sengjc Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 How is the HP Dark Origins? I am curious to try it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Very serried and a little rougher on the palate. On the nose, still has the signature Highland Park honey/caramel but now with lots of fruitiness from the sherry. On the palate there is more spice than the typical 12 Year Old.
fokker4me Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 An old fashioned with Willet Family Estate Rye.
sengjc Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer Rum Finish. While minding my mate's dog. Lazy bugger.
fokker4me Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Killed some Stagg JR this weekend. Then moved on to EH Taylor Barrel Proof.

Mr.T Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 My dad got this from a good friend in France while on a visit there in September. It was very tasty and went well with the ERDM Tainos Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TM-US Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 - Macallan 18 Year Old - Highland Park Dark Origins - Talisker Port Ruighe - Glenfiddich Cask Collection Vintage Cask - Connemarra Distiller's Edition - ***** Whisky from the Barrel - Glenmorangie the Taghta Seng, nice selection. Which vintage cask Glenfiddich? How did you like the *****? 1
sengjc Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Seng, nice selection. Which vintage cask Glenfiddich? How did you like the *****? The duty free exclusive Glenfiddich Vintage Cask that is peated. The ***** Whisky from the Barrel is always good value - Japanese elegance and smooth mouthfeel with the sherried intensity that you would get from a Glenfarclas 105 or Aberlour A'Bunadh.
sengjc Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 A very generous slosh of Macallan 18 Year Old. It has been a long and fruitful day.
Optic101 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 A special release of the Santis Malt. Outstanding ! The flavour is incredible deep with a huge volume and rounded. Got a few bottles some time back after a tasting of a pre release. This is the first I opened and a winner for me. 1
TM-US Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Thanks Seng. A peated Glenfiddich is very unusual.
fokker4me Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Had a pretty thanksgiving get together with friends last night and shared many bottles of Scotch, Bourbon, and rye. Sorry for the dark photos. Old Pottro rye, Corsair Ryemageddon, Glenfarclas 25, Glenmorangie Taghta, Compass Box Flaming Heart, Bib and Tucker Bourbon, Van Winkle Family Reserve 13 year Rye, and Macallan Amber Liqueur in Espresso (this stuff was awesome and sweet). 2
sengjc Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 L'Atelier LAT 54 with some Talisker Port Ruighe. It's been a good day at work today after a very long week.
fokker4me Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Did a little tasting with friends. Started with some private barrel selection samples from Four Roses Distillery, then tried some Old Suntory Special Reserve, old bottle of Chivas 12. Surprisingly this was better then today's Chivas. Opened an old tax stamp bottle of Canadian Club, Cade heads Bottle of Coal Ila 29, son Douglass Laing Bravel sherry cask, and Glendronach 15.
fokker4me Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Some Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year Bourbonand some Rip Van Winkle Family Reserve 13 year Rye.
fokker4me Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Made some cocktail last night. Parkers Heritage 8 makes a great drink.
