TM-US Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk How is the Lagavulin 12? It sells for more than the 16 and much harder to find.
fokker4me Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Parkers Heritage 8th Edition Wheat Whiskey. It is the original Bernheim wheat whiskey at cask strength and 13 years old. Strong notes of vanilla and very rich with a dark rich sweetness. I think this might be American whiskey of the year. It is a shame it is such limited production.
DoubleDD Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 How is the Lagavulin 12? It sells for more than the 16 and much harder to find. I like the 12. It has a smoky character to it. I've never had the 16. I got this as a gift from a friend and I must say, I like it a lot.
headstand Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Flor de Cana rum. 5 yr. Very smooth straight, but at the expense of flavour. An amber mixing rum? Rum n coke tastes of cream soda. Meh.
sengjc Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 2012 McLaren Vale III Associates Squid Ink Shiraz.
trader1974 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 J.T.S. Brown Bottled in Bond. Low priced 100 proofer made now by Heaven Hill. A little brown sugar up front with a little heat on the back end but smooth overall. Inexpensive and I like it! 1
trader1974 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Elijah Craig Barrel Proof 3014 release 2. Excellent choice! I love that stuff.
fokker4me Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Excellent choice! I love that stuff. Agreed it has become amazingly hard to source since Bourbon has become so popular. I love how different batch to batch is. 1

sengjc Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 2014 Torbreck Vintners Natural Wine Project Grenache - vinified without any additives with natural occurring yeast and bottled without any preservatives. Probably just as God intended and what Jesus drank.
sengjc Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Star Wars?Starward - a good old Aussie brew.Well...actually not that old. But it is good. Australian Malt Whisky distilled in Melbourne. 1
sengjc Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Some Talisker Port Ruighe. A really sweetish malt that is gentler than the Talisker 10 Year Old. I find this to be better than the Talisker Storm.
Colt45 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Tenuta Sant'Antonio Scaia Corvina - Expressive - purity of fruit with the earthy core I personally expect from the grape and region. $10 U.S. - the greatest wine value I've experienced in a long time.
