Mr.T Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 How was it? I have a bottle yet to crack..Sent from my moto z3 using TapatalkI do like it, but I think I prefer the standard one. I’m undecided on the addition of the cognac cask finishing. It comes off a little sour...I had it with a smoke and am not sure it was the right accompaniment....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popular Post BrightonCorgi Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Had some good ones on Saturday. 1966 Smith Woodhouse is quite rare (I thought WOTN) and I think the first time I have had it. All the others albeit great I have several times a year. 7

The Ruinart was very far from being old. I've had better bottles of the Fonseca 1970, but was still a treat. The other Champagne was Andre Jacquart "Experience" Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne. A really terrific non-vintage Champagne that I would put against any under $100 USD NV Champagne. I used to get well below wholesale pricing on this bottle from a vendor in NJ (bought cases), but that shipped has sailed.

Popular Post Mr.T Posted August 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2020 An indulgent night...the CNDP was very nice. If still has legs on it.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
Popular Post Colt45 Posted August 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2020 A bit oakier in style than I typically care for with this varietal. But - once it gets a little air, the oak really imparts a bit more richness / tannin while allowing the grape to do it's thing. Very high quality. 5
Mr.T Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 It’s toasty so started with a caipirinha and moved on to a very nice Barolo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4

Popular Post Habana Mike Posted August 30, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 30, 2020 Perfect Manhattan. Smooth Ambler Old Scout /Redemption Rye. Carpano Antica/Noilly Prat Extra Dry vermouths. Angostura and Fee Aztec Chocolate bitters. Luxardo cherry. Perfect! 8
Popular Post Colt45 Posted August 30, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 30, 2020 My second Pelaverga - Burlotto is a solid producer. Light - medium light in body but full flavored, great structure. First thought was that it drinks like a great Cru Beaujolais, or perhaps more apropos, a fine Grignolino. 7
Popular Post Mr.T Posted August 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 31, 2020 Value for money...a great bourbon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
