Some port tonight, one that should be just right to drink now Cheers guys. Paired with a 2018 RASCC which was still a rough young 'un

Unfortunately the Winery Walkabout Weekend in Rutherglen, which would of been in a couple of weeks, has been cancelled because of covid. I have been going up there for over 25 years. Will miss it. Let us know how this aged fortified tastes. The area is mostly known for muscat and tokay but I quite like the port from there.

Great stuff if you can find it Bill. There is some at Dan Murphys marked as end of line and they are the 2009 not 2008. I like these for the complexity and not too sweet like I find the tawnys are. Very easy to drink. Shame about the Winery Walkabout - like everything else - cancelled. I went many years ago and it was a blast.

Texas Tuesday!

I see many American single malts making the news these days - how do you think it compares to Scotch / Bourbon / Rye?

It's its own breed of cat. Depends on the ingredient ratio, where it was stored (barrel conditions), length of time in barrel (no age statement), etc.  This one was smooth, lots of fruity notes, with some honey and spice. The best thing to do is give it a try.
