Mate Adam shared this in Singapore with me. Bloody excellent and something I haven't had before.

Only 2 years aged in the Texas sun?  You have to try it to believe it.

Way too young but still hit the spot

Ended with the Jack's Abby Hoponious Union (and a few Hop Notch IPAs) and an 09 H Upmann Mag 48 EL. Started with:

61 Cheval Blanc (gone)

74 Domaine Romanee-Conti St. Vivant (gone)

70 Beychevelle 2nd bottling mag (spectacular)

74 Dry Creek (very good)

02 Gagnard Santenay (very good)

05 Merryvale (good)

98 Marietta Anglei Cuvee (very good)

05 Bourgogne (good)

00 Le Chai Neuf (beyond spectacular)

90s Rieussec (beyond spectacular)

something else, probably crap...

Life is good!

Ah the Rieussec, excellent sticky at a fraction of a y'Quem. Sorry about the Romanee.

Decided to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey Whisky. So cloyingly sweet can't finish my first glass. Absolutely horrid.

What on earth made you want to purchase a bottle of that?

Well I sorta like Jack so I thought I'd give it a shot. Didn't know it'd be like drinking pure honey syrup lol. Would've been better off with about anything else.

If you can, try this. Right up there!

A couple of years ago we had their Riesling available on this side of the world. I thought it was really great stuff. I'll keep my eye out for this beer, however I think it'll be a long shot.

'05 Bordeaux

Old Heaven Hill 8 year bourbon. Really inexpensive here ($10) but drinks well above that. A nice find. Won't replace 4 roses yellow for my favorite bourbon but when it is hot outside and I need to put ice in my drink this does the job. I am as much an advocate for drinking spirits neat as anyone, but drinking them at 90+ degrees isn't enjoyable. Throw a couple cubes in a cheaper bourbon and life is better.
