BatFastard Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Flor de Cana 18 yr First taste of this rum. Very leathery and smokey. Might have to pair this up with a Boli PC.
sengjc Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Leftover Carlos Torano the Vault Blend A-008 Corona Gorda with a generous dollop of the heavily sherried malt, Glendronach 21 YO "the Parliament":
sengjc Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 At the moment, An Cnoc 12 YO. Before, I was having me some Glenmorangie Astar.

dangolf18 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Decided to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey Whisky. So cloyingly sweet can't finish my first glass. Absolutely horrid.
Skyfall Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Decided to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey Whisky. So cloyingly sweet can't finish my first glass. Absolutely horrid. What on earth made you want to purchase a bottle of that?
dangolf18 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 What on earth made you want to purchase a bottle of that? Well I sorta like Jack so I thought I'd give it a shot. Didn't know it'd be like drinking pure honey syrup lol. Would've been better off with about anything else.
sengjc Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Glendronach 18 Year Old Allardice. Lovely sherry influenced malt. Clean and balanced.
ckearns Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 If you can, try this. Right up there! A couple of years ago we had their Riesling available on this side of the world. I thought it was really great stuff. I'll keep my eye out for this beer, however I think it'll be a long shot.
dafrey23 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Glenmorangie Nectar D'or. Fantastic stuff. Not as smokey as other scotches. Got a little honey flavor on the finish.
sengjc Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 The last of the Martell XO Supreme. This to go with my non-Cuban smoke. It has been a long day at work.
Marker Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Old Heaven Hill 8 year bourbon. Really inexpensive here ($10) but drinks well above that. A nice find. Won't replace 4 roses yellow for my favorite bourbon but when it is hot outside and I need to put ice in my drink this does the job. I am as much an advocate for drinking spirits neat as anyone, but drinking them at 90+ degrees isn't enjoyable. Throw a couple cubes in a cheaper bourbon and life is better.
fokker4me Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Cracked a bottle of 1987 Taylor Fladgate vintage port tonight with good friends on the deck.
fokker4me Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Legendario Ron Anejo I have yet to drink this how was it?
Jeremy Festa Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 One of my all-time favourites, a Badia a Passignano from '07! Salute
sengjc Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 The last of the Benromach Organic. Excellent stuff.
maverickdrinker Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Finishing off a bottle of Blanton's single barrel. Cracking open a bottle of Thomas handy next....
bresdogsr Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Evan Williams Single Barrel '12 can't get myself to finish the '07 or '09. Might have to have some frineds over to do a vertical tasting.
