Henri Giraud MV19, very refreshing I like it.

literally doing an article on these guys at the moment. cracking producer. we looked at the MV18 and a few others. wonderful champagnes.

i should have mentioned that when the owner has visitors he likes, and opens the good stuff, he does not bring out any cheese or snacks. he offers a cohiba behike to guests to smoke with the champagne.

Now that I think of it, those flavour profiles will be an absolute banger together!

Mate Adam shared this in Singapore with me. Bloody excellent and something I haven't had before.

Only 2 years aged in the Texas sun?  You have to try it to believe it.

Some fun tasting last weekend. The red breast 27 batch 4 seemed to be a clear winner

I had their regular '07 a few weeks and it was terrific. In a great spot.

Open this on Thursday. Had a couple of glasses. Intense and full bodied like most GC ports. 1980 is an under the radar vintage with a lot of value. Overshadowed by '83 and '85 but should not be overlooked.

Hoping to get into it more tonight (Saturday).

agree. some good stuff from 11980. does sneak under the radar. people get amazed when they try a good one, because it is supposed to be bog average and over the hill, but some lovely ones around and a really good time to be drinking them.

Lucky enough to be enjoying a simply magnificent 1971 Coutet tonight. Everything one could wish for in a mature Sauternes. Cheers!
