Smallclub Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Far be it from the french to make a mistake, had to be someone else............. Stupid comment, but I'm not surprised. FYI: Delacroix is a painter, not a humidor crafter.

As are your pretentious, arrogant, self-righteous, condescending, know- it - all comments you post throughout this forum. Spelling does not determine what painting or art I like or not. I would not believe that a painter, French or otherwise, would allow a cigar company name his/ her artwork. Maybe you should take sentence in your signature line to heart. That being said, I am done with this pissing contest!
bluesmokebloke Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Lots of beautiful labels here, a couple with closer ties to Cuba than initially meets the eye. Such is the sad state of illustration today that repurposing images in the public domain is fairly common.San Cristobal, anyone? How about this familiar artwork……which, upon closer inspection was created by New York lithogrophy outfit F. Heppenheimer's Sons, active at the turn of the 20th century. It's a really interesting area of study. A terrific site to bookmark is http://www.cigarlabeljunkie.com - just be prepared to lose a couple of hours!
