This is not the easiest of exercises lol3.gif

You have the opportunity to build your personal perfect cigar.

1. Using the attached poll, pick 5 (and 5 only flavour profiles). Tick them off on the poll.

2. Let us know what 5 you chose and what vitola you would use them in thinking.gif

3. If you can from the profile you selected, state the closest Habanos (to your tastes) that meets that profile ok.gif

My favorite vitola -PC

Corona Gorda would be my vitola of choice

This would have to be a Mag 46/Monte 2 Frankenstein cigar, but if it existed I would buy it in truckloads

Sweet spice.

Petit corona.

I haven't had a current Habanos that has this profile, would think it's a mix of bolivar and PL flavors.

P/s anyone can recommend something with this kind of profile? ;)

Dalias 6.7" x 43

I've never smoked an '05 EL Montecristo D, but this is what I imagine it to be...

Better yet, let's call it the illusive (read that, non-existant) regular production Monte 8-9-8!

Tea

Perfecto - maybe a shorter Tacos?

I've had the first 4 in some PL Robustos RE. Throw in a little HU breadiness and it's all I'd buy!

Roasted nuts

Bread/Sponge Cake

Toasted Tobacco

Cream

Salt

Double Corona that is med-full body

Reminds me of Connie A

In either of my two favorite formats, corona gorda or dalia.

For me, I guess it would probably be a mix between Cohiba Siglo IV and Mag 46.

Toasted tobacco

Put this in a lonsdale and I'd give it a go

I'd've chose floral tastes if it was an option as I like that in some cigars like a well aged LGC

Chocolate

Cream

Honey

Toasted tobacco

Salt

The salt is the one I find hard to find in this combo but I really love the idea of the salt jumping in and boosting the other flavours.

Vitola would be...Corona Gorda or Piramide or Salamone

Cream

Honey

Tea

Roasted Nuts

Toasted tobacco

Preference would be in Corona Gorda

Closest to the above I've found is a Trinidad Robusto T - which is becoming increasingly sparse in my humidor

Cohiba Siglo IV is the next best thing...and thankfully not going anywhere any time soon. 'Knock on wood'

In a Robusto

With a great cup of coffee

I'm also in the 'dessert flavors' camp: chocolate (coffee too, but not on the list), cream, honey, sponge cake. I'd roll that in a corona gorda format, or double corona. Found most of this in the '09 Punch Punch but it's been much more rare since.

A second flavor set would be tea/herbal/floral, in the PC or Corona Gorda, or churchill (all the same ratios Rg x lgth).

My third favorite would be a spicy, peppery, coffee combo in the robusto or edmundo format.

Now all I need is a skilled roller . . .

Toasted Tobacco

White Pepper

Sweet spice/cane sugar/honey (basically a sweet element with backbone)

Lonsdale is my favorite sized cigar. It's not thick and is long enough to enjoy for around 1.5 hours. A really good 898 fits my description or even an aged Siglo III. I really enjoy Pyramids as well because how you cut the cap really allows for control of draw, smoke and flavor delivery. At the end of the day, I would smoke almost any size cigar with this profile (Below 56 RG).
