HSA ...please fix the latches.

Seriously the latches on D4/Edmundo/P2 etal have become a joke with all the structural integrity of Aluminium foil

They are falling off removing them from the mastercase.

Ok...it is not a first world problem but one that can be readily fixed fella's. Once upon a time they were quality fittings. Ok I don't need them to be the same quality today but a mid ground at least....one that contains some metal

Yes agree. The latches are practically staples on steroids.

I remove them most of the time

Makes it easier to stack and slide boxes in the fridge

The crap quality makes them easier to get off the box at least

I just got a box of D4's today like that and thought the cigars inside would be destroyed from being dropped! Took a look and the cigars were fine. The hinge just happened to slide right out of the box I guess. Never saw that happen before. Funny you mentioned that.

The latches on some of my D4 boxes have fallen off pretty easily as well...ah well, just gotta make sure I don't hold the box upside down

I have also seen a few random boxes where the hinges are pulling out. Has anybody else seen this?

My monte esp. no 2 came with the lid almost separate.

QdO Imperiales are fantastic, I think a guy sits at one end of a room and throws the latches as hard as he/she can at the direction of the boxes for 10 hours then goes home

That's probably why they got the axe. The boxes were too hard to build. All my Imperiales boxes are just like the one pictured above. Lid barely on, latch useless.

Bad hardware completely eliminates the opportunity to give a box as a gift (Silver Lining tho: more cigars for me! ). It could be a perfectly good collection of sticks, but with latches and hinges falling off there's no way in hell I'm sliding that thing onto a Minister's desk.

Unfortunately, that box had some issues with cigar quality, so I had to send it back. Still looking for one to replace it. At this point I'd take one with no hinges haha!

The last two boxes with latches I've received have been barely affixed to the box and the latch itself doesn't allign properly for a good "snap".

Every week

Hinges and latches are of such poor quality that they are struggling to stay affixed during the shipping process from Cuba to distributors.

I raised the issue in the hope that it filters back to the powers that be.
