LordAnubis Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Was getting supplies from the corner store here in buenos aires and saw this. Yep. 1 litre beer bottles!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Fuzz Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I used to buy 750ml/1L bottles in KL. Good for sharing round the table.
oliverdst Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 you will see girls and boys at clubs sharing a bottle.
Popular Post Lotusguy Posted April 10, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 10, 2015 You've never seen a Fourty in US then 40oz in a single bottle 7
TheFullMontecristo Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 gives new context to the phrase "went out for a couple beers at lunch" lol
LordAnubis Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 you will see girls and boys at clubs sharing a bottle. Didn't see any in the bars at Palermo soho area. I'm at the perfect hotel though. Just walking around this morning and found a place called "puro bistro". It's about 2 minute walk from my hotel. Sitting at a coffee shop now waiting for it to open and check it out. topdiesel Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 When I was broke and in college (way back in the early 90's) they sold all of the traditional 40oz beers, but they also had 64oz mickey's. It was awful, but super cheap and one would get you pretty good. Nobody ever wanted to drink the last few ounces of warm beer at the bottom. Here in California, you can buy booze pretty much anywhere.
Ubergosupro69 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Drank my fair share of 40 ouncers in college. Good bang for your buck
Scroats Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 You've never seen a Fourty in US then 40oz in a single bottle You won't see them in Florida either... Someone made them illegal.
SofaKing Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Belgian ales can be found in Jeroboam format....3 liters! 1
Hunter1974 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 You've never seen a Fourty in US then 40oz in a single bottle pronounced FAWDY! lol
jdo2110 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I had to look at the original post several times to try and understand what the problem was... And then I realized that it was me. When you can stare at a 32oz Heineken and think, "yeah, I should go get a couple from the corner store down the street!"... I might have a problem ; ) And yes, it is pronounced FAWDY, and if any of you would like to get a deeper understanding, watch "boyz in the hood." King Cobra, OE, Mickey's... Some of the finest piss water you will ever have, lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ToothlessCog Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 The micro-breweries here have refillable Growlers you can buy. 1.8L. Not that I would finish it all on my own! They're a great way to take some draft beer on the go. 1
JohnS Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Was getting supplies from the corner store here in buenos aires and saw this. Yep. 1 litre beer bottles!!! Okay, they're big. But were the prices reasonable?
Lotusguy Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Who could forget the awesome album by Sublime "40oz to freedom" 2
Dispence Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 In Serbia they have beer 2.5L plastic bottles. 84.75 ounces. No joke. For cheap. I love those things. Give me 2.5 liters of Jelen Pivo and I'm happy!
Nedule Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 In my area all the good craft beers are 650ml & 1L bottles, & some are up to 9% abv.
polarbear Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Last Australia day we played 12 for 12 You gotta consume 12, full sttength, king brown beers (beer in a 750ml bottle) inside of 12 hours No one managed to do it
earthson Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Belgian ales can be found in Jerobuam format....3 liters! I saw a Duvel in one of those last winter. Shoulda bought it, shoulda bought it, shoulda bought it! pronounced FAWDY! lol I thought it was FOHTY? Could be a regional variation of dialect! When I was broke and in college (way back in the early 90's) they sold all of the traditional 40oz beers, but they also had 64oz mickey's. It was awful, but super cheap and one would get you pretty good. Nobody ever wanted to drink the last few ounces of warm beer at the bottom. A half-gallon of Mickey's is a nasty concept, indeed. The last time I bought a 40 oz of beer, I realized that I cannot drink even 20 oz. of cheap beer quick enough anymore to avoid it turning to warm, flat swill.
SofaKing Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I saw a Duvel in one of those last winter. Shoulda bought it, shoulda bought it, shoulda bought it! I have seen Duvel to St Bernadus, running close to $300!! F'ing insane for a beer!
David67 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Do they play Edward 40 Hands in Argentina? Can you please put some more photos of this lady up.
