wonky Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I don't always have over an hour to enjoy a cigar, but I can always muster up 45 minutes or so. This has lead me down the path of petits. I love petit robustos and petit edmundos, half coronas too! Anybody with me? What are your favorites?
CatchNRelease Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 When I first started buying cigars, I only bought large ones because I assumed (I guess) that every time I'd want a cigar I would have two hours available at least. Pretty quickly I realized that I wanted one more often and sometimes only had 30-45 min tops. That's when I started buying the smaller stuff. It's great to have a variety!

You'd find that the following cigars are currently among the most popular: H.Upmann Half Corona Bolivar Corona Junior or Petit Corona Partagas Short Ramon Allones Small Club Corona Montecristo No.4 or No.5 Por Larranaga Petit Corona Trinidad Reyes San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe I don't have a favourite amongst these yet, I'm still sampling through them! 1

Vegueros mananitas have been excellent as well. HUHC, Partagas Shorts, RASCC, Monte 5, RG Perlas, Quintero Londres Extra, PLPs are all in my regular rotation. I too have limited time so I reach for these often.

I would like to have a selection of double corona/churchill sized cigars available for those rare occasions when I have the time to smoke one. But being in the US, I can't wander into a LCDH and buy a handful of those sizes, and I don't want to drop the $$ to buy a box that will last me 15 years. So when I do have the time to smoke a 2 hr cigar, I just smoke 2 one-hour cigars. 1

I'm in the same boat as you but I forced myself (;-}) to buy some boxes of long ones for those special occasions when I do have time. leftimatic Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Being falling for the Corona, and Petit Coronas myself lately. I find they work so well with my schedule. But a corona gorda or Churchill work so fine when you have good company and a little extra time.

I am in exactly the same position. Cuaba Tradicion and Monte 5 do it for me.
daeji5 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 i don't know how y'all smoke sticks in 30 minutes. even a half corona will take me 45 min. smoking them fast makes them harsh (for me). I wonder if those that finish sticks in 30 minutes would have a different tasting experience if more time were spent on them. curious.
RickHendeson Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I love the concept but my problem with pcs, minutos, etc. are that they are way more prone to plugs, tight draws, etc., and much more difficult/impossible to fix w/out destroying the cigar
