Shikar Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Those cigars. A couple of underwear. Packing done. Regards.
manelson05 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Any issues flying domestically with banded cigars? I'm taking a trip this summer to lake Tahoe with the family I'd like to bring a few with me.
Boosted Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Jeez...I guess I go a bit overboard. Even for a weekend trip, I break out the 40ct travel case.

Habana Mike Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 TSA isn't CBP, ICE or ATF. Even the airport police won't notice/care from my experience. Agree on the lighter though.....
Scroats Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Anyone ever use the TSA/DOT approved lighter cases?
Habana Mike Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I have one my son got me a few years ago. Haven't used it in ages, not since I got the Soto
JohnS Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I actually have each of those cigars in my humidor. You're making me want to pack for a trip! Nice choice of cigars! 1

I've never had any problem. And FYI - I never check my cigars. I don't want grubby-fingered TSA agents pawing through them. All cigars are in my carry-on luggage (with bands).
joeskow Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Only issues I've had with the torch lighters is that they need to be checked baggage. They found mine (Newark) in carry on and told me I can just check or throw it out. No problems once checked even full of fluid.

Actually, once the cigars are in this country already, you can travel with them since your not going thru customs. I take my smokes with me everywhere .

Yes what he said I've traveled dozens of time both domestically and international, banded cigars in my carry on never any trouble, except once, it was a small 3rd world county I forget which one but when they saw my hygrometer in my travel humi they thought it was sort of triggering device. None of them spoke English and even though it was with cigars they didn't seem to under stand. I was brought in a room and had to wait until they found their senior commander who could speak English.
