stogieluver Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I think the 8" round marble ashtrays from Hotel Nacional in Havana are the coolest thing ever. http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115498 The round black and white ones are my favorite. One day.... For day to day use the Stinky ashtrays look great and are very functional. I think I must have about 4 of them in various locations. My Holy Grail is the black/white Hotel Nacional ashtray. Went there several times on my trip and kick myself every day for not buying one and bringing it back. Maybe one day....
earthson Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 In ashtrays, I look for the bottom... My ashtray is a mason jar. No need to blow cigar money on an ash hole.
MrGinger Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I like the original Bidasoa Habanos ashtrays for inside. Outside, I use a stinky.
AlBaron Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I can never find those ashtrays for sale anywhere. I would definitely spring for one, for sure. Maybe we could organize some sort of group buy on these? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
mylesieong Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 A fellow BOTL made this bad boy for me That's the best ashtray I've ever seen. 3
Stogieninja Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I absolutely love the new Xikar Essence ashtray. (Technically I have the "Cigarfest '14" ashtray, but it's the same thing.) Melamine for easy washing and handling. Has five deep stirrups, and flat walls which help contain the ash if it's breezy. And my favorite thing, an accessory compartment, no more looking for the lighter or cutter.
cris77 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I needed an outdoor ashtray so I made my own out of concrete then polished the inner side so it wouldn't damage the sticks..
Mahstah Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I have a few ashtrays tbh the best ashtray is the shirt i'm wearing at the time. At least 8/10 times that's where most of the ashes go for me anyway. 1
Scroats Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I have an old amber glass one, meant for cigarettes, but perfectly serviceable for cigars. It was a gift from a friend and was her grandfather's ash tray.
