If money was not an issue what would you buy for Cohiba, what is the absolute best in your opinion and why? And do you think they are the best cigars in the world, not necessarily the best value, but hands down the best cigar.

For Cohiba, my money is on the Esplendido. It's been the most consistent cigar in the entire marca for me. If money wasn't an issue. I would buy tons of these and sock them away. I'd also chase aged boxes to enjoy now.

As for Cohiba being the best in the world? IMO, no. Still get too much inconsistency amongst their releases. The BHK's a possible exception.

I think the Esplendido and the Siglo VI , stand out in the Cohiba group , but this is my personal taste.

Coronas Especiales is my favorite. They need at least 5 years of age, and more is better. At their best they are really full bodied and flavorful. Lanceros are much the same but I prefer the shorter cigar. It's rare to find that powerful flavor, in my opinion, in the Siglos, Robustos, and Esplendidos.

Best cigar in the world? That's like asking who your favorite child is. Or whether blondes, redheads, or brunettes are the most beautiful women. There are many bests.

Original release behikes ... I think they were 15 or 25 thousand euro for 40 cigars when released ... They should be just about ready to smoke now or in just a few years .

Price point aside I would pick the BHK 54. If money were a factor I am picking the Siglo IV.

I'm a Cohiba fan. If money wasn't an option I would stock Lanceros, CEs, BHK54, BHK52, Espys, Siglo VI and V.

Best in the world? It always depends on so much more than just the cigar. For me I will usually pick Cohiba.

Iconic Cohiba cigars , as mentioned, include the Siglo VI and the Behike 52, 54 and 56. If money was no option, I'd fill my humidor with more of these, Lanceros or a 1966 LE/s, if I could get my hands on them! Right now, I'm encouraged by what Cohiba's are looking solid lately through FoH, so Piramides Extra and Robustos are on my favoured list too.

Are they the best? That's just taste and it's personal. I love them, but a constant diet of them might get tired.Well kept and aged Cohibas are a thing of beauty.

5 years of age is about minimum. A cab of Siglo VI '04 I had took 7 years to come around. Many would not have the patience but hey, I think it was worth the wait. Those smoked too early gave me a taste of what was to come but were wasted compared to what the cigars became. . I like siglo IV, III, and two, Lanceros and Esplendidos. COROs can be absolute knock outs when on. Also, I don't think it's a matter of which vitola is best as much as which box is best. That's my experience with just about all Cuban cigars. I have about 6 Siglo IV left from a box of '08 that are fantastic. Other IVs were good but not great. If I had to pick three I'd go with Lanceros, Siglo IV and Robustos, but that's just today. Tomorrow could be different.

As several stated above me, if $$ is no object, I'd stock a whole heckuva lot more BHK 54 than the 1 and 1/2 boxes I have presently.

Taking $ into account, I'd vote Siglo IV and the CoRo.

Not sure about the "best", but they'll always be in consideration for that title as far as I'm concerned.
