SLR Serie A all the way. This is my favorite cigar. If I had to change to one vitola only, it would be the Robusto regards Lars

One viola only..... For me robusto and PE robusto. Great variety to choose from , my favorite smoke happens to be there , the Monte PE , and the prices are right in my wheel house .

Posted

Mag 46, Punch Punch, SLR A, Epi 1. In that order.

Choices, choices....a close call between the Mag 46 and Siglo IV. But, at the end of the day I would go with the Siglo IV.

I'm with you, Rob. It's a perfect size for me time and flavor wise. Hard to go wrong with any you had on that list. I'd put it at a 1a, 1b rating for me on the RA-Sups and the Mag 46. Wish the RA's would come in SLB 25s or better yet 50s!!!

While I understand that corona gordas are meant to represent a happy medium between coronas and robustos, I'd rather have a PC or a robusto and not something in the middle.

With that, HU Mag46 gets my vote. And I wish every brand had a Laguito 1/2 and a Panetela.

More of a recent appreciation but Corona Gorda Mag 46 is my favorite right now. Might have to try to get a few of the others I haven't tried. If there ever is a Corona Gorda sampler I would be all over it!

Here here! Only had the RA Superiores myself (which was excellent) and have some Mag 46 on the way but I would love a corona gorda sampler.

As for vitola, right now it's all half corona/petit corona/minutos. Rarely have time for anything else at the moment. Bouncing between Upmann HCs, Boli PCs, Trinidad Reyes. Just got my Party shorts in the mail yesterday and have some RASCC coming to diversify the rotation.

I went with the Punch Punch as I can't stop smoking them. It's also the only cigar where I bought a box -- smoked a couple -- and then bought another box immediately.

As for cigar sizes, I went with the robusto. Whenever I try out a new blend I always gravitate towards that size.

Me too. Size wise pc has always been my favorite, robusto my second.

But my mouth waters when i think of mag46s. It's probably the only cg in my top ten.

Another few years of pp the way they were last year and it might creep into my top ten.

Over the years my desert island cigar has changed. Might be the blends, might be my tastes, but the last few years it has been brc. Used to be hupc, before that bpc.

Tough calls on both questions. I love the corona gorda - push comes to shove, the Upmann Magnum 46, followed closely by the Hoyo Epicure No.1. Formats.... Love the churchill, corona gorda, dalia, cervantes, carlotas, parejos.... Perhaps the corona might be the ultimate format.

My desert island humidor might be half HUPC and half everything else.

pp = PL Panetelas?

Haven't had the chance to try all those CG's but from ones I have, I enjoy the Mag 46 the most. As for vitola I voted 52+ rg. Though DC's were a close second.

Well I'm tempted to call Robusto on the vitola - but that means I'll never smoke a Mag 46 or a BBF again ....

And I can't call CG or Beli because that means I'll never have another D4,RASS or BRC....ohmy.png

Noooo don't make me do it!!.......

Mag.46 with Siglo IV a close second.

Robusto and Corona Gorda in a dead heat. Can't decide, however voted Robusto, just a lot more good Robustos to choose from.

Noob Alert!

I am new to Habanos and my inventory is only 6 boxes

D4's

Mag 46

Partagas 898

RJ short churchills

Siglo VI

HDM Epicure 2

The D4 was an instant favorite it was the first cigar I ever smoked to the nub, I roached it with my neddle nose pliers!

So I have to remain loyal to robustos, they always seem to fit my time constraints, they get right down to business.

I save larger vitolas for when I have the time to enjoy, which is not often.

All my boxes are 14 box codes and I know I should sit on them for a while but its friggin killing me!!!!

I guess it would be wise to have several boxes of your go to's in reserve so you are always rotating your stock.

Love my corona/corona gordas. My favorite NC was a cg and one of my first cc acquisitions was a box of Mag 46 (GEO ABR14). I do have some love for the robustos, especially RASS and JL2. Never tried a CoRo, maybe it would sway my opinion?

Posted

CG is definitely my favorite vitola. Just feels right in the hand. But I like variety, so I had to go with Robusto. Have to have a box each of Boli RC, RASS, Connie 1, CoRo, HdM2, RyJ Ex4, Regios, and occasionally, BHK52 on hand at all times.

Love the recent Punch Punch and Superiores. Last time I tried a Mag46 it was light and unimpressive. Maybe I should revisit them?

Posted

My regulars are Slr A and JL1. Love a good Siglo 4 though. And cried to lose RS 11. Then Superiores. So no I can't pick one. CG and Robustos are my go to vitolas.
