free85 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 It's relaxed a bit over the years, but you'd have to go back to the 70s to find a time when it was "fuller". And those bottles aren't cheap. If you're on cask strength you've probably just had a change of palate.
TM-US Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Is it a bottle you've had for a while? Perhaps too much oxidation took place. It was a pour from my local bar that sells a ton of whisky. Besides cocktails, scotch and bourbon are what they do.
skalls Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 If you like the 16, the 12 is amazing. Full powered peat bomb of awesomeness.
Quint Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Well spoken. It is certainly a peat monster and I love it for that but it's that balance of richness and meatiness that makes it spectacular. Well spoken yourself.....certainly one of my favorites
