Popular Post Orion21 Posted July 2, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 2, 2015 When I see boxes of 20 "unique" large format cigars that are new to the Marca expect $45-$60 each at retail. Most likely very similar concept and pricing model they have for the book releases. Having said that, the book releases I have smoked have been out of this world . . . if you don't mind dropping the coin. To each their own, but I hate seeing exceptional cigars like this just stuffed into a collection never to see the light of day or smoked. Cigar collectors are so much like wine collectors, in that, they just love to know they have the product. If they ever actually enjoy drinking/smoking it is another story all together. I can proudly say every single box in my humidors is missing at least a handful of cigars. If you do drop the money on this release, just smoke them and enjoy them. Cheers! 6
Jnaube Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Orion... I'm pretty much on the same page you are, On my part, less than a year ago, I was a collector. Buying cigars to stash them and have them. Then, I had a car accident, july last year. I was in my car at a rd light with my son and a crazy guy collisioned in my car at a speed nearing 80 km/h. Everyone survived, I had a broken arm. I realized that you never know when all lf this is going to end so I pretty much started to smoke my good cigars... and, I'm very happy I did. Right now, I'm already sitting on a couple of these Monte's 80th and I already smoked a couple... And I'm glad I did. These are made to be smoked. What good are they if, once in a while, you can't light them up? 4
jsummers157 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 As a fan of the marque, really hope I can get my hands on a couple of these!
Benzopyrene Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I've smoked 3 of these and all of them have tasted like soggy dog turds.....one of the worst cigars Ive had in a long time. Definitely wont be going after these. 2
RijkdeGooier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Smoked ubanded ones. Best new cigar of last year imo.
Bartolomeo Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 What's the price on these? Italian prices are 480 Euro a box of 20
Lotusguy Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Italian prices are 480 Euro a box of 20 Thanks. Much less than I feared - I guessed 40+/stick (euro)
helix Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 nothing wrong with it , but glad I'm not a collector, just minimally aged stock on hand to enjoy.......
luv2fly Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Would love to grab a couple to try. Hopefully there may be a sampler in the future with these included. 1
oliverdst Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 I heard it´s about to be released. Maybe next week or month.
Cubatabaco Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Anyone have an idea on price point?Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
oliverdst Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Launched and available in UK. Way more expensive than in Italy. I hope price in Italy is correct.
Lotusguy Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 "Any day now" in Germany. Unfortunately, I'm leaving Sunday so unless they arrive tomorrow, I won't be able to try one until my next visit. Really curious if the hype is justified.
Sunsmoke Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 PCC holding a launch event for these August 4th here in HK. Going to head down and try one.
Puros Y Vino Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Apparently the Toronto LCDH has them in stock. I shudder at the thought of the price. (thanks to taxes of course)
Fugu Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Format-wise I am actually looking much more forward to the EL Dantes.
Ethernut Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Beautiful display of fantastic cigars.. but not the least bit tempted. Looking forward to hearing the reviews tho!
