LeafLover Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 What cigars do you regret smoking young? I mean, the cigars you tried and tried and hoped to reach cigar nirvana but it just didn't happen. You forgot about them and lo and behold, months or years later you hit them again and you said "WOW!!" But sadly, you smoked through so many of them that you have very little left of them to enjoy. What cigar was it, and at what moment in it's box age did the magic happen? For me: Montecristo Especial #2- four years from box code date Cain Lancero - 3 years after I received them (born date unknown- NC of course) 1
LeafLover Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Trinidad Ingenios. How long did that cigar take?
Maplepie Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Trinidad Ingenios. I'm curious. How do you think they smoke today? I think the last time I had one was a year and a half ago in the balmy summer. My lord did it not want to burn or give me some good flavours. I just tossed it in with the regalos and escudos (those of which I've had multiple) in calling the whole 2007 LE year unpalatable. What a shame as they are all excellent cigar sizes...
polarbear Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 The first Monte 2s I ever got chewed through 20 out of the box in just over a month before laying the rest down when new stock came in. 2 years later I found them buried in the bottom of the humi and they were wonderful
Smallclub Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 How long did that cigar take? Six years. They started to be good in 2013 (it's a 2007 release).
DWC Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 VR Familiar. Feb '11 Mediocre at best, fresh. Came to life after about 3+ years. But by then the box is almost gone. Fortunately I have another one buried. Same story with Monte #4.
