I am a counselor working primarily with addiction and mental health. I do some family and couples counseling as well. After helping people all day, I ride motorcycles, cook, and enjoy cigars for my own self care. The BOTL in the cigar hobby are similar to the great people I meet when riding my Road King. I have not met a stranger who loves cigars or loves motorcycle riding. Being a newbie is very similar to being a hang around in the motorcycle world. Looking forward to establishing great relationships, smoking some great cigars and giving back to the community. One key thing that I have learned by reading quite a bit and watching several reviews is that patience is key in both smoking as well as establising quality relationships.

Do you get into Mardi Gras, assuming south Lousiana

Welcome from AR! I work out of Alexandria and Monroe sometimes down there it's hard to find any good cigar lounges or anything.

We are west of New Orleans on I-10 and second in size of festivities. I don't do the parades any longer but enjoy the fair and free live music. Currently raining and next parade starts in 10 minutes. Mardi Gras in New Orleans is in a class by itself. We have been having Parades for a few weeks now. Tomorrow is the main day. If you have never experienced Mardi Gras, it should be on your bucket list.

Lafayette is different. We have a few b&m's but nothing open after 6 pm. One place has a room for members that gives access 24/7. We also have bars/restaurants with outside seating that are cigar friendly. I lived in Alexandria for five years and felt like I was in another state. 80 miles north but totally different culture. This is why I specified South Louisiana. Culture is consistent along I-10 (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles). We have the best food in South Louisiana.

Hello Winn, welcome to the forum. I loved your introduction, is always good to hear that little bit more in an introduction to get some conversation happening. You like cooking and youre from South Louisiana, may be cliche but do you have a good Gumbo recipe. :)

On another note, hope you enjoy the forum and look forward to hearing more from you on the threads.

Welcome to FOH, Winn. You'll like it here. We have a strong Mardi Gras tradition here in Mobile, as well. Mardi Gras started in Mobile. Glad to have you join the forums.
