spicycorona Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 BTW Revis has the best agent in the history of sports...dude has now made 125 million in guarenteed money in his career so far... It has nothing to do with his agent. He wants the biggest number possible. He doesn't care about winning. He's lucky to have one. Very lucky.
khomeinist Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Bills are having quite an offseason. Ownership changes are highly recommended.

Care about winning? What does that mean? Players have every right to get what then can. He is a solid player and deserves to make what the market will bear.
riazp Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 query to seahawks fans - given the salary they'll be paying graham for some time (and yes, i know offset by unger's going), and the fact that they will be doing a new, massive contract for wilson next year (perhaps the biggest the game has ever seen), is there a hint of eggs all in the basket for next season, knowing they must lose players after that? not that they won't still be strong but they must surely lose some key players, you'd think. Honeslty Ken, this is the case of the hawks filling a void. Cap wise i dont know how they are long term but John Schneider is a great GM and im sure he knows what he is doing. I was reading that they are on budget. They are talking about giving Wilson a Fully guarenteed contract so they can probably sign him for less so its easier on the cap...
zrotfus Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 surely not? surely that would have been illegal? Yeah you're right, I should have phrased it a little differently. He didn't actually sign anything but there was a deal on the table and he expressed that he was going to sign but then backed out. Just bitterness really, makes me wonder what happened behind the scenes that caused this. Chip has a lot of scrutiny on him as this is his first whirl as being the guy making personnel decisions so while I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt I am a little skeptical thus far.

Reports seem to indicate that Gore heard from some other players who had played in Philly and changed his mind. Colts signed him for marginally more than what Philly offered, if you believe the reports out there. I'd be very concerned about what's been coming out of Philly recently, especially with Shady and Foles both supposedly having bad things to say. Bradford is a head scratcher to me. Seems a fragile, fairly immobile QB is the exact opposite of what you'd want in Kelly's system. If it's a ploy to trade up and get Mariotta, I'd have thought Foles would have more trade value. I don't see how they can move up high enough now. I've never been a Chip Kelly fan. Felt like he left Oregon when the NCAA heat got to be a little too much (although nothing major has come of that yet). These guys that value their systems over players always strike an arrogant chord with me. That said, he's not an idiot. Not really fair to judge him until this has some more time to play out. There's a very real possibility he may be a genius, and it will all come to fruition. Not the side I'd be on if forced to bet, but you really can't be sure.
mikemerry Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Little bummed the broncos resigned green and got Owen. Loved Owen for years but I'd much rather see the money spent on Charles clay. If the bills put that deal together that could be one hell of a team. And coaching staff in Denver is nothing new. Gary K was a coordinator when Elway played. He was chosen based on hands on experience. The guy they need is bill romanowski to toughen that team. Give them the grit! And Seahawks are done. The talent is leaving. Slowly. If Wilson starts eating concussions than Jim G won't make a world of difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ken Gargett Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 see talk today that the skins might draft mariotta at 5 if he slides. what the hell goes on there????
stunod Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Crap, I'm glad I'm not an Eagles fan. What the heck are they doing. They trade Foles for Bradford and give up a 2nd and 4th round pick. Are they smoking CRACK ??..?
stunod Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 see talk today that the skins might draft mariotta at 5 if he slides. what the hell goes on there???? Ken, no way he slips to 5. Think he goes in top 3
Ken Gargett Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Ken, no way he slips to 5. Think he goes in top 3 i hope so. might save the skins from themselves. jay gruden seems utterly clueless. sooner he is gone the better. but if bucs go winston, then the only other (assuming no trades) team seeking a QB is the titans at 2. do they take him or williams? if they don't take him, hard to see jags or oakland - they both have young QBs (mind you, so does the skins). better we trade down with some team [reared to go big for him or take a top defender.

Are they smoking CRACK ??..? No kidding! I don't get why they threw in the 2nd round pick?? What the hell? That's just crazy. The Rams really got over on that one and they got the better QB, to boot. I have a friend who is a diehard Eagles fan and he is losing his mind right now.

If the skins are smart, if mariotta drops, they trade that pick to the eagles. I personally thing they got bradford to leverage him at the draft...If mariotta joins the eagles, might as well change the franchise name to the Philadelphia ducks.

Perhaps, but other than the Eagles, who thinks Bradford has that kind of value? He's coming off back to back ACL repairs in the same knee with a host of other injuries througout his career, plus he's also got a huge guaranteed salary next year, too.

I would have thought Foles would have been more attractive trade bait if the Eagles really thought they had a chance to move up and get Mariotta. They also likely would have needed the 2nd rounder they traded to STL. The team is advertising Bradford jerseys, which would be a huge **** move to their fans if they really plan on trading him. Seems to me like Philly has given up on the idea of getting Mariotta and settled on Bradford. Even though Bradford has some spread experience from OU, his injury history and relative lack of mobility seem to make him an odd fit at best for Kelly's offense. Will be interested to see how this all plays out.
zrotfus Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 And now potentially DeMarco Murray to the Eagles? This is crazy stuff. I'll take it though I don't see how trading Shady to sign a RB the same age with more injury history makes a ton of sense.
Dozerhead Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Yeah, the funny thing is Murray was the one that initiated talks with the Eagles, not the other way around.
mikemerry Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Murray and Bradford were roommates in college so maybe it's a super secret master plan..........
CatchNRelease Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 My super bowl champion New England Patriots don't feel any attachment to the players that got them there. I shouldn't be shocked but I am
terrantheman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Nor do the Bears! As soon as they let Urlacher go the defense became the biggest joke in Bears history! Leadership is ehat left that "D" and he didn't want a lot.
spicycorona Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Care about winning? What does that mean? Players have every right to get what then can. He is a solid player and deserves to make what the market will bear. It's pretty straight forward. I never said anything about rights or what he deserves. Everyone knows he's all about the money. He's come out and said NY is where his heart is. But he won't win there. Some players want to win. Some want to be the guy. .
