of course they would not have been "screwed" as alleged, though personally i reckon the refs got that one right, if the refs had not dudded the lions most outrageously the week before with the pass in

Not getting screwed in the playoffs on the last "legitimate catch" of the game hopefully...

Latest rumor is they may bring in Larry Fitzgerald. Being a Minnesota kid, he would be a great influence on Teddy. With AP back and if they can get Fitzgerald, focus on D in the draft, the Vikings h

Busy signing troubled CFL "stars" in hopes of putting some actual talent around Andrew Luck before his rookie contract expires. Unfortunately there are too many holes, and then when Luck gets paid, they won't have the cap money to upgrade the roster. Grigson (GM) and Pagano have made one personnel blunder after another with this team, and have essentially wasted Luck's rookie contract. For as polished as Luck was coming out of Stanford, they really should have been better. Look at Seattle, and all the talent they amassed while they still have Wilson on the cheap.

But the Colts have been busy trading first round picks for Trent Richardson, giving big free agent deals to Laron Landry and Gosder Cherilus, not to mention signing washed up FAs like Art Jones, D'Qwell Jackson (who just last week assaulted a pizza delivery guy over a parking spot) and Josh Cribbs. They have an awful offensive line, no running game at all, and an incredibly soft, slow, constantly overmatched defensive front seven.

And yet, as long as they have Andrew Luck and play in the putrid AFC South, they're almost a shoe-in for the playoffs every year, and then it's a crap shoot. Will the ever be good enough to beat this current New England team on the road in the playoffs? Probably not, but strange things happen in the NFL. Baltimore almost beat NE this year, which would have seen them come to Indy for the AFC Championship game, where the Colts would have been favored. So I guess it's not all doom and gloom after all.

Wabashcr, You have a great WR in Carter, he will do very well with Luck and the colts. He was troubled in college, performed great in Montreal. He played last season with Johnson and I think that helped him as well.

I hope so, but the Colts really need another WR to go with Hilton and Moncrief. It would be nice if that turns out to be Carter, but with his past, they need a backup plan if he doesn't pan out. It speaks to how many holes the Colts have on their roster that they're gambling on guys like this so they can use the draft to fill other spots. It is a low-risk gamble in terms of money. If he doesn't work out, it won't cost the Colts much at all. And if he fits in and contributes, he'll be a steal. I believe Minnesota had him in camp the year before last, and didn't offer him a contract. Just never know with guys like that.

As an aside, I really enjoy the CFL. We've started getting more tv games again in the US in the last couple years, and it's really a great product. I can't devote enough time to follow it properly, but I probably watch 10-15 games a year, which is more than the non-Colts NFL games I watch in a given season anymore. I find random CFL much more enjoyable than random NFL. Some of that is also because of my distaste for the current NFL.

Idk about that Elway was the one that wanted him back to begin with. He'll be playin next year they would be stupid to not let him because they wouldnt be able to find a decent QB anywhere else. Lol

I'm pretty sure my Saints will win the division, 7-1 at home (used to be a tough place to play, did'nt get what happened last year), and 4-4 away.

My Bears are going to have an uphill battle. I just want the Bears defense of old! 2yrs in a row of **** "D" is just embarrassing as a Bear fan. Not sold on Fox as HC. Cutler will always be a damn problem.

Karl Mecklinburg, " Do I think Peyton is part of the problem? Yes, unless he is willing to renegotiation his contract like Elway did towards the end of his career to free up salary cap money. Did Manning come here to win Super Bowls or to pad his stats and wallet? When I saw Manning throw into coverage on third and 5 against Indianapolis, instead of running for an easy first down, his motivation was clear. "

Id like to see ole Karl run for a first down with a torn quad. GTFO..... Chump

He should have ran for that first down. That play broke my heart! As a diehard bronco fan it was back breaking. I've seen Brian grease put more effort out on the field. Playing with a blown shoulder all season.

Peyton will be back. But will we have Orange Julius or D Thomas? Hopefully both. I say bring back Tebow and roll the dice on excitement.

Pretty sure that Rob's team, the Bucs, WIll finally have a QB with Winston. at 31 I hope the Seahawks can pick up a big WR or a CB to replace maxwell who will probably be gone

Eagles fan here. No Idea what to expect going into next season. Rumors that we're gonna trade up in the draft to take Marc Mariota?? Ugh. QB is, to me, not a major need if Chip can almost create a playoff team out of Mark Sanchez. Shore up the secondary and linebackers first, get some depth on the O line, and Nick Foles will be just fine quarterbacking that team, IMO.

Re Fox, he's a great improvement over the coaching staff from the last couple seasons. Trestman totally destroyed the team's chemistry. I'm eager to see what a 'good' coaching staff does for Cutler. You might be pleasantly surprised, at least I hope so!

LIons fan, and I know some franchises have it bad, but we have sucked so badly and so consistently that our franchise is seriously considering slapping a $26 million dollar franchise tag on Suh. You know everything you do blows when spending $26 mil on one player is a serious option, especially since I think that player has made it quite clear that he really doesn't want to be here and that getting paid top dollar is his true motivation. He's a great player, but I can't stand the guy and I would rather seem him be replaced by multiple players instead of paying him that insane amount of money. In addition, we pay Calvin Johnson (formerly Megatron) the most for a WR in the NFL even though he's no longer the player he used to be, and we pay Matt Stafford top 5 QB money to be firmly mediocre. So our franchise will continue to suck until they understand how to run a salary cap and can put at least 2 successful drafts together in a row, as 2013s draft was the one of the greatest of the new millennium and 2014s draft was a tragic joke.

In addition to those issues, they need another CB, OL help, and depending one what happens with Suh and Fairley they'll need as many as 3 DTs.

Here's how I'd fix it: transition tag Suh and hope he walks (to collect draft picks,) cut Johnson and resign Fairley. Then shop for a FA WR as there will be a few on the market and especially go after Demaryius Thomas and try to pay him slightly less than what Calvin's contract was. Then go hard after Greg Hardy and get the value discount because he's a team blackeye with his domestic abuse issue that he's coming off of. After all that, you could still have the money left to be a serious contender for a Brandon Flowers caliber player. Draft OL help and boom you could actually make the playoffs for 2 years in the row for the first time since way before I was born.

I certainly hope your right. My problem with Fox is that he gets to the promised land but falls short. In Denver they gave him everything to win but it was a no go.

Maybe the Bears are his ticket. I hope so!

You mean other than still tryin to figure out why the F Carroll called that pass play?!?!?!

Seahawks will probably give a huge contract extension to Wilson, Probably try to sign Lynch, Rumour mill has it that Suh would like to sign for seattle being from the pacific north west but I cant see how they can make that work cap wise. Overall the core of the team is coming back and with a weak nfc west will probably make another run at the suberbowl.

Weak NFC West? Are you kidding? The Cardinals had a great year in 2014 and that team was devastated by injuries all season at key positions (QB, RB, Defense). Watch out for them. And the 49ers can't be written off (yet). And the Rams were definitely an up-and-coming team last year. If they can get a QB they will be tough. NFC West is still one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.

Cincinnati, we will make a great run into the playoffs once again. Then promptly begin a three stooges imitation of an NFL team!

Boy the pessimism is contagious in here.

We may jump into the blaze with Clevland

saw that and was wondering what fans of each team thought. i guess there is one answer.

as a skins fan, not upset he is out of our division.

that said, sproules and another bloke (i forget the name) were doing a lot of the work, he was a massive salary and if the young LB comes out fit, he could be seriously exciting for the eagles for a long time. ACL is a concern though - just ask RG3. strikes me it could be like portis/bailey - which was pretty much winners both sides.
