We also restore to original specs, and our cars are drivers, not garage queens............ 4
wabashcr Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Realistic, probably an early 70s Challenger. Love those cars. If money is no object, then an SL65 AMG 1
smokenj Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I can't decide between 930 Turbo 911, 964 Turbo 911, or 993 Turbo 911. It was have to go into longggg serious internal debates haha.
Bclass1 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Realistic, probably an early 70s Challenger. Love those cars. If money is no object, then an SL65 AMG That is an SL65 AMG on steroids. I love that car and very much into the new AMG models these days. Great choice.
cigcars Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Maserati!! THERE you go!!!! And that's my favorite color too!
Scroats Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Whatever you wind up with, it needs space for a humidor. I would go vintage muscle car myself. When it hit my 40s I figure out which one I need to pine after
Fosgate Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I guess if I really thought about a car that I would really want from my childhood that could be unique and mine i would chose either: T-bucket Or a 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe, I would have to think of the style though. Fenders or no fenders and throw some fat Mickey Thompsons on the back and have a hot rod. Another car I always wanted was from the movie Phantasm. A Black 1972 Plymouth Cuda with a 440 six pack and the pistol grip shifter. 1
Lant63 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 One day, I will have one of each, Lamborghini and a Porsche. Dream big, start small. Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy 1
TM-US Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I wouldn't really consider it a MLC car, but I would upgrade to a 996/997 turbo, GT3 or GT2. Air cooled Porsches are way out of my price range now, and I'm not sure I would buy a Corvette twice.
jazzboypro Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Lots of nice cars here.....mine would have to be this 1
CoCigarSmoker Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I think this thread went from mid life crisis to "I just won the lottery". That or ya'll have a much higher disposable income than me hahaha. Cheers, Seth 2
lipher Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Don't tell me that's a Ghibli...?It is! Frozen over this morning!
Dino81 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I had an "early life crisis" (30) so I bought a red 6mt BMW M3, I'm thinking the next logical step would be Porsche.
DoubleDD Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Fosgate, Awesome car and awesome movie ? Love Reggie and the Tall Man...booooooy! 1
davidsan Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Have to go with one of the Hero cars of my childhood, Honda NSX-R or an FD3s RX-7 Spirit R. HT Monaro GTS wouldn't go astray either.
Nedule Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 My dad went through 2 mid life crisis'. The first one when I was 17, he bought a 1986 red convertible corvette which I got to enjoy while I lived at home. He went through his 2nd crisis 10 years later & bought a new 2006 corvette & I humbly received the old vette as my dad is extremely generous ... & it was an ageing money pit. So now that I'm nearing the so called mid life crisis age, I'm happy to say I'm good to go. One thing my brother & I always say, a vette (or any mid life crisis car for that matter) is much cheaper than therapy. The '86 (stock photo but looks exactly the same) The 2006 (actual car) Edit - I knew I was eligible for a mid life crisis when I was driving the 2006 2 summers ago & my thinning hair was whisping in the wind & I realized that when people look at me, they no longer look like I'm borrowing my dads car, they think it's mine ... that's a reality slap.
MrGTO Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 This is the my first car i bought in high school. Still have it 1970 GTO 400 Auto w/Hurst His&Hers 1
madmarvcr Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 +1 Dodge Charger Hellcat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
leftimatic Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Got mine 1964 GTO 389 4spd This is the my first car i bought in high school. Still have it 1970 GTO 400 Auto w/Hurst His&Hers Just love the 60's early 70's muscle! I think the Darts were my all time favorite. Take the lightest car put the in the biggest engine, find a straight stretch and hit it! Had a '68 with a 318 it was plenty quick but a Hemi..... My oh my!
blotto649 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Money's not the key - education, and the patience to wait for the right car for the right price are most important. And I haven't even hit mid-life yet! Not having kids helps a lot too
free85 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 For me it's either a motorcycle (a nice Triumph perhaps) OR an 1957 Chevrolet pickup:
Peacock Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Past the MLC, but own a custom Harley Chopper, and drive a BMW 6 series, also own a Chevy truck. However, if we are dreaming...I want a Ferrari. The LaFerrari would be nice!
