Duxnutz Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Today I did some washing and found several (3) cigar bands in my clothes. Funnily enough they were all H Upmann bands. Anyone else have a cigar band-finding trend? Thought it was pretty interesting to find 3 of the same marque. 1
Dbone Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Oh yeah, in pockets of shirts, pants, jackets.... they're everywhere 1
avaldes Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Under my chair, under the sofa... I have a large ziplock bag for my kids (and wife) to deposit the bands that they find around the house:)
Edwhatever Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Yes, usually in my jacket pockets. Bolivar, Punch Por larranaga... When I find them, I think about the time I had that cigar, who I was with, smile, and put the band right back in my pocket, ha!
cdnstogie Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Yup - all the time. Yes, usually in my jacket pockets. Bolivar, Punch Por larranaga... When I find them, I think about the time I had that cigar, who I was with, smile, and put the band right back in my pocket, ha! I am guilty of doing this as well.. hehe.
JoeyGunz Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Yeah all the time too haha, my car is littered with them too, if I'm smoking something nice, I put the band to one side and think "I'll keep that" never do though... 1
Maplepie Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I occasionally find cigars in plastic tubes lying around my house/ coats. Good feeling. I love bombing myself out of nowhere! 1
Tag9485 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Constantly find them in my jacket now that it's cold outside. I've got a drawer in my kitchen just for bands, they all make it there or wind up in the wash haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
finecigar Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 This is the never ending struggle. I swear they multiply while in pockets. I can't seem to get a handle on em
MIKA27 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 My sons bedroom when I clean it each week. He's 6 years old and loves the different bands, designs etc. 1

Duxnutz Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 I love finding money, just sucks when it's foreign!
madandana Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I love finding money, just sucks when it's foreign! Atleast it'll tell you where you've been on your bender.
darktower007 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Yep all the time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
riazp Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 My sons bedroom when I clean it each week. He's 6 years old and loves the different bands, designs etc. Time to make your son clean his own room mate! Same here my son is fascinated with cigar boxes and bands. He uses the boxes to keep his lego men in them!
JohnS Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I found some money for you the other night, Duxnutz. It's a pity that even though it wasn't foreign, it was only coin! 1
TiminBC Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Back in the late 1800's bands were a huge problem in cities. Cigars companies were encouraged to come up with efforts to stop littering. Contests started for band collecting similar to air miles. A certain level of bands got you free gifts. Albums for collecting were sold I am saving for the horse buggy, horse not included.
earthson Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Rarely happens as I remove the band early (unless it's holding together a split wrapper) and deposit it into the ashtray.
ErikB Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Not as bad as finding fake dollars from the strip club in your jacket when you're visiting the museum with your in-laws... 1
Maplepie Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Not as bad as finding fake dollars from the strip club in your jacket when you're visiting the museum with your in-laws... Well it's kinda hard when you're up there... You don't have the chance to UV every bill thrown at you.
Knvb Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Just put on some shorts that I havebt worn since vardero in nov. Last day there I smoked a nice siglo vi rass and monte double edmundo as I remember and as the bands in the pocket show. Which reminds me I don't hear much about the double Ed but fell in love w them upon my return. 10 was def not enough, might need to peruse the shop. I've never made a purchase before could a member msg me re: questions. Cheers
