Has a Ramon Allones grandes on the weekend and puked afterwards. The room was spinning like when you get pissed as a teenager. It lasted several hours and I ate food afterwards. I didn't know if it was the 4 coffees or the cigar. Neither have affected me before. Oh, come one! Sure, it wasn't as good as the Gigantes, but it made you puke!? Seriously, though, I had a Grandes about 2 months ago and it did have some serious firepower.
GavLew79 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I know. Crazy. I've smoked a Lusi, no problem, two or three robustos in a day, no problem. That RA; bleurgh.
Gusmab980 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 It happen to me with a Partagas LE01 back when it was 5 yrs old. It kick me so hard I had to stay in the cigar shop for 2 hrs after i smoked, couldnt drive anymore. Still have 3 out of 5 haven't touch them ever since.
luv2fly Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Never had that with a cuban but the Opus X can be a nic rush!
irratebass Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Only stick I have ever felt nauseous under was from the LFD Double Maduro Digger. My friend warned me to smoke it on a full stomach. My stomach was full & I still almost puked Will NEVER smoke that stick again, and anyone who buys and smokes them regularly is more man than I. 2
foursite12 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 The back third of a Cazzie is a real fooler. The flavor goes from full to medium after first half and kinda lulls you into dropping your guard, yet shortly after that's when the real nico loading comes in. Love the cigar but forewarned is forearmed. They can put you into a flat spin.
riazp Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I smoked this tatuaje HCS that was made for the Holts cigar shop in Philly. that damn thing knocked me the F out.
Orion21 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I have never gotten sick from smoking a cigar. A little light headed when I smoke more than 2 in a row and don't drink enough or eat. However, I have been with a friend who smoked a Fuente Anejo Corona Gorda and only got halfway through it. We drove to dinner and he puked in the parking lot. He hasn't had a cigar since. Also, one of my buddies was an operator during the Iraq war and at one point they captured one of Saddam's many palaces. The way he tells the story, after securing the property they found a large stash of Cuban cigars in a walk-in humidor. Having been on the road for days with little rest they were allowed to stand down. They liberated some big cigars from the humidor and lit up. Their medic warned them not to, but they didn't listen. Half the guys got seriously ill after smoking them because they were dehydrated and living on rations. He still says the cigar he smoked was the best he's ever had.

Is it the Madro wrapper? I was given one for my birthday a few years ago.....so good, one of these days I will buy a box. Have a big steak meal and light up and report back
squizz Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 SLR Serie A got the best of me recently. But, it was my 3 cigar and after a Contego of strong coffee. Had to take a nap after that session.

Same exact cigar for me. Turned me off Opus X. Never again will I pay $20 to feel that way. About half a teaspoon of sugar really does the trick for me if I get that nic overload feeling. I chew tobacco some so I have a fairly high nicotine tolerance but I had a friend in college one time said it best--"That's just not the buzz I'm looking for.."
GasGuy82 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 In my younger days I used to be able to have a Copenhagen and drink all night. Those days and habits are far in my past but on two occasions while having a drink I had my ass handed to me. Once by a PL Montecarlo, the second time by a Cohiba coronas especiales.
Squarehead Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 That happens when you smoke too fast or on an empty stomach.Never had a problem with Padrons but with other brands
ajgagnon Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 PL seems to punch above its weight. Takes days for the aftertaste to fade, but probably my favourite cc brand.
