Ladies and Gentlemen,

I will once again ask anyone who's been, or will be in Cuba and purchased cigars to let me know how much you paid for what so I can keep the list up to date as much as possible.

I am missing most 2014 releases but any update on any cigar is very much appreciated. Everyone benefits from the price list.

Cheers!

There are some LCDH over there that will try to overcharge you. Prices are suppose to be the same across the board in Cuba, but that is not always the case. I bring the yulcigars list with me now when I go down there, just so I have an idea about the price. There are some LCDH that do not have any prices at all on their inventory, you have to ask and that is where I have been slightly ripped off in the past, usually about 50 CUC on a box. The places that do not have prices on their inventory I just tell the guy the price based on the the yulcigars list and that way they think twice about trying to rip me off since they know that I know the price.

Indeed they do have a list. they print it out every week and trust me, I tried to get it, buy it but was never able to get my hands on it. Another notorious member here, well connected, tried as well without any succes... sadly!

Was that a gauntlet I hear thrown! :)

I'll see what I can do, which really is little more than ask.

Agreed, Andy - great thought, and great task / challenge.

If I may, I'll try to get in on that. Should we come up with a wager??? :D:devil2:

Worst off, I'll use my iPhone and try to take pictures of everything I can as well. If I can get an updated PDF / Word Doc of the current list, I can print it out too, and bring it with me, and go from there. Just let me know what's the most critical / wanted items that you'd like to see updated.

Andy - when and where are you going to be there? I'm coming in at the tail-end of the festival it looks like - would love to get in a meet up with you, and perhaps get into shenanigans at the Commonwealth Consulate / Irish Embassy again, especially if the rest of those ne'er-do-wells are coming!

It would be certainly good to meet up. I get in the week before the festival and leave on the Monday 2nd. I stay in a casa near the Hotel Nacional. Get in touch nearer the time and we'll definitely arrange something. What day do you get in?

Might be a little easier to acquire some fine sticks when on that ISOM:

"(Reuters) - MasterCard Inc (MA.N) said it would allow its cards issued in the United States to be used in Cuba, effective March 1.

The United States announced sweeping new rules this month that will significantly ease sanctions on Cuba, opening up the communist-ruled island to expanded U.S. travel, trade and financial activities."

Been trying to make travel arrangements, to coincide with work stuff going on. Coming down on Friday, Feb 27th. Depending on the package, only staying until Monday the 2nd, or, if I luck out, will be able to stay until Wed., Mar 4th.

Buddy picked me up a box of Monte Especiales. Can't remember from which factory but he paid 260 cuc. Thinking he may have been over charged slightly.

Nope. 260CUC is the correct price in Cuba.

You know part of me wants to say, "yeah, it's handy to be in the know ;)" but to be honest I'm not that well connected.

I did very little more than ask.
