I agree. This is really an amazing cigar. Padron sells a number of less expensive cigars that are very good. My favorite is the Anniversario 1964 Maduro Principe (or any of the other 1964 Maduros, I h

Joya de Nicaragua Antano Gran Consul - Had this last night and surprised the heck out of me. Loved every bit of it except the first few cm's which was strong and harsh. Once it settled down wow...never had an NC give me that satisfaction the way a CC does. It was balanced yet full bodied and strong, and medium full on the retrohale. Went fantastic with a rum from the DR. I look forward to buying a few singles again. Best NC I've had yet with complexity to boot.

*Hey, I ordered a tin of those Winston Churchill Lancasters. And you're right - they ARE very Cubanesque in flavor, aroma and structure. Thank you guys for that prior info!

That's awesome glad you enjoyed them, I preach about them every time this discussion comes up. The little 4 pack tins are great to sample them with too!

This is tough as NCs have been KILLING my palette lately. Most have recommended good stuff already. Any Fuente Anejo or Opus should treat you right. I also like the Padron anniversary series stuff as well as some Tat black and brown labels.

A Fuente Rosado Sun Grown, Tatajue brown Label, LaRoma de Cuba EE is a really good go to as well as the Ashton Heritage and ESG. I also love Davidoff Puro d' Pro sublimes.

Tatuaje brown labels

Padron x000 maduro

Don lino Africa (not even sure if they still make these but have quite a few sleeping now)

I tried the Herrera Esteli lonsdale yesterday and I really liked it. It's 6" by 44 RG which is a pretty good size for me. It tasted very similar to a box of Trini Fundadores I have. It's all honey and hay. I think I read somewhere in an article they were trying to make a cuban style cigar and they actually did a pretty good job IMO.

If you can get your hands on the Tatuaje TAA 2014, that would be worth your time. Might be hard to come by a single, though.

Another one I haven't seen mentioned, but would seem to be well-suited to a CC palate, is the La Palina Goldie.

For me:

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Robustos

Opus X if you want to splash a bit.

Alec Bradley prensado Robustos or churchills.

Oliva Serie O Robusto for a cheap, sweet, decent everyday smoke.

Picked up a couple Nat Sherman timeless Dominican Divinos just for shites and giggles. Not a bad cigar, thinking about grabbing a box. Will change vitola though. Last third got a bit hot on the fingers.

The only NC's I still stock are these three when I find a deal. Much higher price point and you could just as well buy some more Cubans. I'll grab a Java Mint Corona or ACID Kuba Kuba if I feel in the mood for something sweet but usually keep a couple for new comers. I also got a steal on a decent box of Punch Bareknuckle for $30 friends that said they have tried them before swore they were dog rockets but for whatever reason I lucked out with a decent box.

Typically I keep these on hand as they are decent for the price or leftover from when I could only get NC's

Foundry Robusto

Man O War double corona

Brickhouse Mighty Mighty

I also still have a couple boxes of these left. Macanudo 1997 Limited Perfecto's. Chocolaty, oily and rich.
