"What should I expect? Are they close in their description?" "As good" is a poor way to describe anything that is so different. ..you should have gotten some Padrons as well, then you would know, and

Joe Blo eh :-) you know when the Alec Bradley prensado Churchill won cigar of the year a couple years ago I thought it was really good not similar to the padron really at all though but then seem to l

That's the first I've heard them compared to a Padron 1926. I've had to pitch a few due to unruly burns and poor construction. Good luck!

My personal belief is: CA Cigar score = amount of advertising $$$$ = I don't give a hoot what they say.

Of course a few of the NCs are smart about this. Spend some money at CA. Get a hold of some good leaves and make some good (sometimes great) cigars. Get highly ranked on CA's yearly ranking then proceed to dilute and change the blend.

Again, just my opinion.

Not the best NC but not the worst either. The shop owner needs to smoke another as they are utterly confused. This tastes NOTHING like a 1926 Padron of even close. They are inconsistant in construction with nearly every stick Ive had have soft spots at different intervals. Burn is always a problem as well. Flavor profile, pepper, wood, earth. If you close your eyes and wish you might get a hint of leather.

I would have a hard time arguing that.
