Popular Post 1LegLance Posted November 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 1, 2014 So often I hear from someone about their "old lady" or how they don't want to go home to some "nagging b#tch". I find that I only seem to be friends with guys who are in happy marriages. I get bothered by people who lead unhappy lives. On the forums we all joke about our cigars and our wives. But honestly I hope most of us are in good relationships. This great women is my second wife and I got is all right on this go around. We have known each other 20yrs and married 18 of that. It honestly gets better every year. She is from Peru and the cigar thing is perfectly fine with her. I don't smoke in the house but have a separate office we share. I smoke in my truck and my suburban and as long as I am working overtime I can spend all I want on cigars. Anyone else out there have a great home life and someone who puts up with our hobby that we destroy by fire one bit at a time? 18
Popular Post westg Posted November 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 1, 2014 Good for you Lance, great post...consider myself very fortunate as well. I have a beautiful wife who never complains about how many cigars I buy in fact she encourages me to do so...I guess she notices it makes me happy. Ask my wife what is the most important thing in my life ...and she will tell you cigars. Not quite true ... my marriage is the greatest of all time, I love my wife to pieces You are a great looking couple all the best to you. 5
gtejada Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 How the does Proverbs tell it... "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favor of the Lord" Uh!! I am not Married. Never been, but I dream of finding someone like the women you both describe one day. Those of you who do have a wonderful wives are indeed quite fortunate.

I'm blessed to have such an understanding and supportive partner. I just gotta get her to be more interested in letting me buy cigars and I'll be all set!
canadianbeaver Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I talk about Matthew here all the time. 2
leftimatic Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Just gotta read my topic, lifestyles of the cheap and frugal to know that I am a very lucky man. To have a wife you can share a dream and create a reality with is the single most greatest thing in the world. Well there's my two boys also, but without mommy....... What she got.... What she deserves. 3
Popular Post stogieluver Posted November 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 1, 2014 It took two trips to the alter, but I got it right the second time. We've known each other 20 years and been married 12 years. She is my very best friend and the love of my life. The picture below is of us on our way to Cuba in 2012. Our ten year anniversary that year was to be celebrated with a long planned trip to Italy. I found out about a chance in a lifetime trip to Cuba and shyly suggested we might want to go. She jumped right on board knowing how much I enjoy Cuban cigars and all things Cuba. She gave me a man cave in our home and an Aristocrat humidor to go in it. God, I love this woman! 9
jacktarnold Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 My wife is great. We have been married for just shy of 7 yrs with a beautiful daughter and one on the way. 4
Popular Post Lasabar Posted November 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 1, 2014 I've been married to my wife for 13 months and we've been together for over 8. Love of my life and understands the needs of a mancave when we bought our house in July. Okay, now like the rest of you, I will be leaving this topic up on my laptop and in a place she can see it and act like it was an accident! 7
Popular Post tjohn7 Posted November 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 1, 2014 Been lucky to be married for just shy of 6 months. She's great. Very smart and above all, kind and caring. I wish she'd let me smoke a little more, but she keeps me balanced so I can't complain too much. Can't wait to see what the future has in store! 5
LGC Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I laid everything out before I even got engaged (cigars, fishing, kids, etc.). If you have to lead 2 different lives, there's no point in even being married.
santela Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Just got hitched this June, but we been together just short of 7 years. During which time I've picked up two very expensive hobbies. The money I have blown on photography equipment could probably buy us a small property in the country side, and now cigars. She never said much about my growing collection, but keeps me balanced for health reasons. So far so good! 4

I've spent thousands. My third hobby of music is not cheap either (have an addiction to picking up Gibson Customs...). Photography and cigars are great hobbies though. Relaxing and introspective. Just how I like to spend my free time.
mikek Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Well married two times before I found Mandi we have been together 35 years,I can honestly say I am married to my best friend! maxcjs0101 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Congratulations to all the happy couples. Reading the stories here makes me want to keep trying to look for that special someone you can share the rest of your life with. 1
airtrade Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 My wife of 14 years puts up with my habitual collecting of cigars, guns, fishing gear and grilling/smoking stuff. She say go ahead get what you want as long as the bills are paid! lol. 4
Habana Mike Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Married 30 years come next July, many more happy times than not. I consider myself lucky to have found such a great woman to share my life and passions with. Rarely a bother about my cigars, she says I've earned the right to treat myself! 4
Maplepie Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 My wife and I are married for 481/2years without regret. Married for 240 years!?! Geez... didn't know you were THAT old Hans
jdo2110 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 My wife constantly has a "honey-do" list. She speaks frequently of things we need to do. I CANNOT buy cigars whenever I want. And I get the stink eye when my buddies and I get a little loose with libations ; ) But she is my best friend. She loves to share cigars with me. We laugh and joke all of the time. As of July 3, we had a beautiful little girl together. Been together 12 years, married for 5. I'm truly blessed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
