Indonesia starts legal fight against OZ tobacco law

Good news for Aussies as Indonesia joins the case against Plain packaging in the WTO (World Trading Organisation) case.

For the record this is a slow process. I believe the initial hearing will be occurring shortly.....but it will be 2-3 years before a ruling.

I had to look up what plain packaging was, in order to understand the article. Wow, I can't believe they passed that kind of law. Can't see that happening in the US, considering our biggest tobacco lobbyists are some of the most ardent libertarians.

Hopefully they get that repealed soon!
