Lant63 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Looks like a legitimate sighting, I hope these are not fakes already. More info on where this is to follow. Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy
Maplepie Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Geez, they're ungodly. Also... why do the bands have to take up a third of the length of the cigar? Looks like a Swiss vendor. Decent selection of 1966s still stockpiled, though.
joncat Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I would love to get my hand on a box of these? Any word on price?
Maplepie Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Any word on price? Too much With Swiss set prices at 490 CHF for the 1966s, these monsters will probably be at least $45 a stick in Europe. Imagine what else you could get with that price. Won't stop me from getting a box just because. But still............
MostlyHarmless Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 They come in boxes of 50? Or is that at 3 infront of the 0?
Maplepie Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 They come in boxes of 50? Or is that at 3 infront of the 0? that'd be as silly as releasing a 50cab for Canada as a regional
MostlyHarmless Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 that'd be as silly as releasing a 50cab for Canada as a regional  I know, that's why i'm asking. It just doesn't look anything like a 1 on this photo imo.
MostlyHarmless Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Also if it's a swiss shop, there should be some warning signs on the boxes i think.
Maplepie Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Also if it's a swiss shop, there should be some warning signs on the boxes i think. if it was any shoppe, it should have a health warning... i'm thinking it's an exporter where due to the international clientelle, it would not require any sort of health stamp. I know, that's why i'm asking. It just doesn't look anything like a 1 on this photo imo. agreed. just making a jest if it was a 50 cab!

That could be.It would be a steal for 2500$! 1
polarbear Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 That's an Aussie Collectors personal stash (I'm 'friends' with him on facebook where he posted that pic) He got that box as part of a bulk purchase, so no word on pricing yet I've also seen one other Aussie Cigar Collector with a legit box as well, again, not sure what he paid for it I'd imagine they'll sell for the same prices as the 1966's give or take 10% Aussie prices will prob be a lot higher though thanks to the tax increases since 2011
polarbear Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Some close up pics from the second member I mentioned
ramon_cojones Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 can't wait to pick these up, hope they crack 60rg next year 4

I couldn't imagine living in Australia and being a cigcollector. Taxes aside, I do wonder what the health stickers would do to the collection. Sent by the Enigma on BlackBerry.
Foz Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 They look just like re-banded HdM Grand Epicures from last year...

The import tax is higher than the cost of the cigars normally.

Armaniac Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The British and Canadians among us are in the same boat Yup, unfortunately. None of my friends here in Canada buy locally.
Shikar Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 When a cigar gets that fat it just gets ugly. Regards
Stoyan Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 They look just like re-banded HdM Grand Epicures from last year... The wrappers on the Hoyos look way better than these!
Dozerhead Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 can't wait to pick these up, hope they crack 60rg next year Hey, pal, throw in some mottled wrappers, inconsistent quality control and an obscene price point, then I'm all in!
