jat Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Well the last football final of the year is on Sunday and sees the Rabbitohs v Bulldogs. Sentimentally I'm going for the bunnies who haven't won in 43 years and are a foundation club, being established in 1908. Don't get me started on how the Cowboys were robbed again this year by a video refs call.... For those follow the NRL, what is your team and why ?
ogus Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 wish I could but RUGBY UNION WORLD CUP is what I like to see
soutso Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 The mighty Many Warringah Sea Eagles. Why? Because: 1. Everyone hates them 2. In 64 completed seasons they've never had a wooden spoon 3. 8 Premierships 4. Won a Grand Final in every decade since the 1970's 5. Competed in a Grand Final in every decade since the 1950's 6. They were forced to merge with the enemy in 2000 and after three seasons were resurrected. A feat that has only been achieved by Jesus himself according to christianity. (Though the good Lord took just three days!) 7. I have hundreds more reasons..... Hope the Bunnies prevail.
El Presidente Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Brisbane Broncos Home team. Sucked over recent years but on the rise. I will be following the Broncos under 20's tomorrow (playing the Warriors in the grand final). I know the captain Brett Greinke and a nicer more dedicated young man you would be hard pressed to meet.
Fuzz Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Though I grew up in the heart of the Magpies territory, I'm a Doggies supporter.
khamy Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Don't follow NRL but enjoy watching any form of football. i'm going the bunnies for this match up. they are battle tested in the lead up games but you have to respect the doggies defence in the last game against penrith. plus bunnies have cute little fluffy puff white tails...
Tino Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Really pleased for Maguire, he did wonders for Wigan when he was over here
jat Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Hey Rob if you're out there, what do you think of a separate Sports forum, like Food, Fishing, etc? We have the Rugby world cup coming up next year, the Ashes and I'm sure there are others sports to beat the English at. The NFL, MBL, premier league, ice hockey etc could all be up for comment. I know that's cutting close to religion, which we avoid on this forum, but we're all full of passion and opinions, some more than others And thanks to late night TV, I've lately become a fan of Irish Hurling and wondered if any FOH members were. Just a suggestion. Cheers Jason

jjdolphin Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Easts (Sydney Roosters) I use to live off Bondi Beach as a kid, so adopted them as my team. My favorite scene in Fatal Attraction was the boiling rabbit. Interestingly I could never get into Union.
El Presidente Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 What do you Australian Rugby Fans think of this? http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/10/jarryd-hayne-rugby-nfl Good luck to him. He is 26 and at the peak of his game here. Highly talented athlete who would be in the top 10 currently playing league. Huge challenge but kudos for challenging yourself.
