johndalton44 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 RASCC and HUHC. Enjoy those two the most, but the others aren't far behind. Dip 5 would be there if I could only get more.
CdnLimitada Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I chose Boli and Reyes. Reminds me I need to pick up both. Just bought a 50 cab of Shorts as the last ones I had were so good. I am not as big a fan of the HUHC. They are okay but not stellar IMO. Surprised they are so popular. Had a couple sig Is and didn't love them but I admit that the storage wasn't the best. My RASCC are just coming around. Didn't enjoy the first 10 that much. Same goes for the SCdH Are Reyes discontinued now as well?
Optic101 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Are Reyes discontinued now as well? Reyes are still in production. Keep fingers cross.
ISOMSmoker Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I didn't vote as I have yet to try three or four of the listed smokes, but of the ones that I have had; Boli CJ, Parti shorts, RASCC, RGP and HUHC, the HUHC is #1 and shorts is a close #2.
bwgan Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The best 2 have been deleted, isn't that always the way? Punch Petit Punch and Dip 5. Working in manufacturing as I do it's prudent to stop making those that don't sell....it's simple really. But they're missed by me and it would seem many cigar forum folk, maybe we are the minority purchasers when it comes to the global market? Bigger sales come from huge swathes of infrequent buyers who buy the latest, biggest, flashiest dongasaurus 50+rg monster Ok deep breath rant over, back to the poll
trader1974 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 The shorts are fantastic, but the monte 5's have so much flavor to me.
bresdogsr Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Shorts for spicy and Perlas for sweet. Enjoy the HUHC as well.
tdlfoto Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I think you can't go wrong in this vitola. I personally regularly hold Boli CJ, Trini Reyes, RG Perlas, RASCC, and my two votes: SCDLH Principe and Partagas Shorts.
sheppsea Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I really enjoy all the cigars on the list (that I have tried) but went for the Trini Reyes and HUHC - I love both of those
msp307 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 RASCC and Boli CJ for me Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
bigbwalls Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Just smoked a Half Corona that arrived a couple days ago from here. Just wonderful flavors of cream and a hint of spice. Definitely my winter go-to smoke. I'm excited to try the Serie D No 6 whenever that releases.
Hiram2011 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Tough list to choose from, but I went with HUHC and Trini Reyes. With that said I regularly enjoy Rascc, boli cj & the el principe. All on the list are good short smokes.
Surucipe Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Love the Reyes if it's a good one, but when factoring in price I voted HUHC and RASCC.
SEOguy10 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Still have yet to try a RASCC. With that being said, reyes are a regular for me (probably my all time favorite go to smoke). HUHC and Monte 5 are being shipped in the next few days so maybe my opinions could change.
tippexx Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Bolivar JC and Monte 5. Apart from the SCdlH El Pincipe the remainder are a bit 'so what' in my opinion .... and the dreadful HUHC should never have been given light of day .... the RG Perlas I'm possibly being a little harsh on having only tried two, but so for me it's only a shade better than the underwhelming HUHC.
dangolf18 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 You can't go wrong with any of the Minuto/Perlas in my opinion. That beings said, the best I've had were Cohiba Siglo I from 2008 and Trinidad Reyes from 2009 (OUS box code). SCDLH El Principe and Partagas really shine when aged >5 years fyi...they can be pretty rough when smoked young.
SEOguy10 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Just received HUHC and Monte 5 in the mail yesterday, now I need to kick this flu so I can test them out. Look great.
Strick28 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 There are definitely more than 2 but I have been enjoying the Shorts and the Principe as of late. The RASCC are right in there with them...
jedipastor Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Honestly, to me this is the best size group that Habanos puts out. Only in the last 2-3 years have NCs even approached the quality experiene you get in a small Cuban (with the standard exception of Padrons).
Professor Twain Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I'm a big fan of most of these. Most of the time I'd rather smoke two of these than one longer cigar, mixing up flavors. And when time is short they are just right. Another factor, they are great in humid Florida weather. Relatively thin but short enough they don't plug up when it's 90% humidity outside. My order is: 1. Monte #5. Just love the flavor profile. Dependable. Like them with 3 years of age. (Oh and I'm excited to hear there will be a Monte Half Corona). 2. RASCC Really same as above. Both of these are full of flavor. A close third for me is the Bolivar Coronas Junior. Just as good, just a flavor profile that ranks behind the two above. I also have an affinity for the Upmann Half Corona. But so far they have been good but not great IMO. I think they need age. With five years they might surpass the cigars listed above.
JohnS Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I'm another enthusiast who can't choose between many of the cigars listed. I'm currently going through a San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe box, but I'm equally happy with a Party Shorts, Monte 5, HUHC, Trinidad Reyes or RASCC.
Anth87 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 currently smoking a magical HUHC - fantastic love them - I need to try others - the box i just got is HQ tho, so want to order another box to smoke and let these babies do their thing - god this gets expensive haha
