In your mind, which robusto is your favorite? If cost was not an issue would you still pick it? Do you go more for consistency or an inconsistent smoke that has proven itself to be great?

All things I'd love to know, as I'm transitioning into more robustos as I leave the DC vitola (don't have 2.5 hrs to spend).

Thanks!

Tom

My favorites have always been the PSD4 and RASS but my recent purchases of the HdM and JL have turned out quite nicely as well.

When they are at the top of their game, CoRo are amazing. But they aren't, so aged RASS and the 2007 PL robustos do very well by me

I agree with 72.5% of these remarks.

I've had great experiences with HDM and PSD4, but haven't had the fortune of trying all the others yet. Have a robusto sampler coming my way soon.

If money weren't an issue i'd go with the BHK52, but from the ones I've smoked my favorite is the HUpmann RR > SLR Regios > RASS> Connie 1 > PSD4 >BRC>RyJSC . Never had a good example of an HdM Epi2 and haven't yet had the opportunity to try the rest.

Still Epi 2 for me, but I really need to try more...my to-try list would be RASS, Famoso, and the Short Churchill.

Short Church is unfairly bashed but the competition is overwhelming.

The RASS if my favourite, but there are quite a few great smokes in this size, I really enjoy the CoR and PSD4 just to name a couple :)

so many good sticks on that list, I like them all but voted for the CoRo.

I figured it would be quite the dilemma nyah.gif

I haven't had an Epi 2 in quite some time but they've always been too tame for me. I'm not a fan of the PSD4 and I haven't had many Connie 1s as of late. The BRC misses the spot and the CORO can be hit or miss. For me, the JL2 is right on.

CoRo when they are good. RASS when they are aged. Had some good Epi 2, boli RC, and D4s, but just as many that did nothing for me. Only tried one royal Robusto, but it was lovely. Connie 1s have been mentioned...they aren't robustos but they are excellent.

Well guess hurr is more than a robusto, but picked that as i've it has had the highest rate of satisfying me. This is most likely a result of the fact that i have too little aged stock

None of them in regular production. I do not like the robusto size. I feel like the 50 ring guage needs more length. The only robusto I have consistently enjoyed is the PL RE Asia. But then again PL is one of my top marcas. It is why I hope the picadores is similar.
