Greetings all. I hope everybody is enjoying their Sunday.

I am very new to the world of Cubans, but pretty seasoned in non-Cubans. I am going to be placing a small order and would like some input. I like a medium to full body cigar. Of course lots of flavor. What are your top five must trys? (Hopefully they are available in singles) I am planning on purchasing about 5-10 singles and may repeat this a few times before box purchases. Thanks in advance.

Over time, as usual in these threads, every single current production cigar plus a few discontinued cigars will be posted. I would recommend to ask Rob for a sampler to suit your tastes.

I don't have anything that could be considered recent / current production, so I can't comment personally. So, my suggestion would be to contact our hosts and have them put something together for you

I like my Habanos pretty strong. If I were getting any I'd get Bolivars, Partagas 898's and Ramon Allones. They have the most descriptive and mapley flavors and aromas.

Five, eh? Hmmmmmmmmm, eh.

Bolivar Petit Corona

Partagas D4

Bolivar Belicoso Finos

Juan Lopez No. 2

Ramon Allones Specially Selected

All great sizes and great prices. If you don't want a repeat, i'd personally strike the Belicoso Finos and take something like a Vegas Robaina Unicos, San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe, or Montecristo No. 1.

Weaker good suggestions would be a Hoyo Epicure 2, Por Larranaga Montecarlos, or H. Upmann Connoisseur No. 1

Have fun and enjoy smile.png

yeaaah. But i'd tally up a list of the most popular. I would post a poll... but 100+ options may be a tad much.

Poor guy is bound to get confused with all the different suggestions...

I'm assuming he's following up the opinions with extensive review reviews to see what sounds good.

If it were me, I'd grab whatever popped up the most, fitted to my preferred vitola

Ha!

I'm creating a list of sorts. All eventually will be tried, but first the most recommended. I duo thank everybody for their input!

Partagas D 4

Ramon Allones Specially Selected

Hoyo Epicure No 2

Montecristo No 4

Bolivar Royal Corona or Petit Corona (BRCs are hard to find right now. EDIT: I stand corrected on this, check out today's 12:12)

Those are the staples that I would recommend to someone new to Cubans.

I'd let you try this one but you have to make to my favorite biker hangout in the next thirty minutes or so!!!

You also would need to hang by your feet from the oak trees. ..

Staples to dip toes into?

RASS

Hoyo epi2

Upmann Connie 1 or PC

Partagas short

Monte 4

I would say PSD4 but IMO it is hit or miss with it missing too much.
