I have friends and I have cigar friends. The difference is cigar friends bring their own.

I know for me it's none. They all maybe are hip to NC a little bit but they have never had a CC unless I gave it to them. Maybe it's I live in the US maybe I need new friends... JJ

That's why I started a cigar club In 1994, I was tierd of smoking all alone. Now I have some 38 guys & gals who smoke with me all year. Guy

None. It (kinda) sucks :(

For me, smoking is nothing but introspective/pensive time to think, reflect, enjoy a good book, a good show/movie, etc.--which I certainly enjoy--but sometimes I wish I had friends who I could share a cigar with and truly enjoy good conversation as well.

A lot of my main friends are the people I smoke with and met through FOH. Prior to that, I have a couple of friends who partake once in a while. My brother is now into it. He started on his own. My neighbor is also a cigar smoker which makes thing easy. I just call him and he pops through his gate over to my yard or vice versa.

Just my bro-in-law and see him maybe three times a year. But we make up for lost time. Just smoked a Trinidad with a frog watching me if that counts.

Only counts if the frog was having a cigar as well teacher.gif

About 4 of my buddies in my fraternity all have humidors, and we do box splits all the time. Another one of my best buddies at school also has a large desktop, but he "only smokes Cohiba and Trinidad." In general smoking with them is a lot of fun.

For the most part I'm alone on this cigar world as far as friends. Some dabble, but they mostly just have one here or there. Although I have met some great guys on these forums.

Leo, I was curious how someone so young got into cigars, and such good ones for that matter? When I was in college we were all too busy trying to find other things to smoke... I most certainly wasn't mature or refined enough to appreciate a good cigar.

Hell, I didn't really start smoking them til about 25 or 26 years old!

Well I happened to have my first cigar with my dad. I didn't care for it much but then I bought a couple more to try that I really ended up enjoying. From there I bought a humidor and got involved on multiple forums. The rest is history. a large percentage of the students at my university have to undergo regular drug testing for either athletics, co-ops, internships, or jobs related with health care. Therefore cigar smoking is pretty popular at my school. I'm actually going to try and start a club this year.

Pretty similar to many. Couple long-time fishing buddies who are both reformed cigarette smokers. One loves my second-hand smoke, the other, not so much. Have a couple good smoking buddies from the local cigar shop always twisting my arm to meet.

Looks like I got no friends, just not into sharing anyway.

One of my best buds will enjoy a cigar on the rare occasion. I remember giving him a PSD4 once and he turned green. Apart from him, none.

You got to share your cigars with the frog. He'll bring them next time.....

A couple of them will ask for a cigar from time to time, but none of them could tell the difference between a Partagas Lusitania and a banana leaf Fauxhiba...

Quite a few when I was living in Toronto (mostly members of this forum). None since my return to Switzerland and have landed in a very small village! I will have to do something but I lack the time at the moment.

Blessed to have a great girlfriend. Cursed because your stock will run out twice as fast!

She has her own stock...didn't I say I was blessed? rotfl.gif

Now that's a great line!!!

Sort of corrupting 2 friends. Gave 1 of them an old, cheap humidor loaded with Havanas for his wedding - I think he's coming around and we're talking about a box split or 3.

The other is not interested in actually purchasing Havanas himself (regardless of how many I send him and how much he likes them), so instead I'm constantly trying to steer him away from poor NC decisions like most of the online house brands, Alec Bradley, and Gurkha.
