amart Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Just like the title says. I haven't been a smoker for any cold months yet, so I guess that is yet to be determined but I'm thinking about buying one of those propane heaters with the chimney type thing and putting it in my garage and smoking there. How about you?
potpest Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Always smoke in the conservatory. Bought a sofa for it and I've got a heater in there for the winter months, plus there's a tv and hifi so pretty much everything i need is in that small space.
canucks6024 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Outside. In the cold. Freezing my butt off. Just more reason to drink heavier and keep warm 2
amart Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Outside. In the cold. Freezing my butt off. Just more reason to drink heavier and keep warm God bless you. I don't think I could ever sit outside in 15 deg F weather for an hour and smoke haha
jerryg05495 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I have a portable fishing shanty that I set up on my screened porch. Still kind of cold.
rickmccarey Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 In the garage with a heater lamp/dish while bundled up. Last winter was a tough one. Gets pretty cold here in Canada last winter -28 regularly.
meatball41 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 the garage unfortunately, but, wifi and indoor space heater make it ok. not as good as the deck though.
bradbrennan Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Depends on how cold your talking...for me, pretty damn cold! Garage heater, not so good. Has to be very small space and very well insulated. Yet ventilated for your heater and your smoke, which lets much of your heat out. We see many days below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Both girls off to college...converted the camper into smoking allowed
JHands Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 If it's cold out, you pour yourself a glass of bookers and all of a sudden it's not so cold out. But in Florida, I wait for the "cold months" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TiminBC Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Define cold. We get temps just above zero in the winter with the odd drop below. I dress warmly and actually enjoy the freshness. The issue we have is rain.
DoubleDD Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 In my mind...the winter is when my stock surges with new acquires.
Homebrew Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Simple, In my well ventilated home office. Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
Susanne Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Out in the shop, next to the heater or wood stove... 1
Maplepie Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 At the local B&MYeah... but not your own sticks Sent by the Enigma on BlackBerry.
Rye Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I keep my shop heated year round to avoid various glues and finishes from freezing, tossed a rug and some office rocking chairs, and it's pretty cozy. This year I've even added an old TV I had laying around so Sundays will be smokey and football filled! 3
Bulldog4 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 outside freezing my gonads but here on the westcoast winter usually isnt that harsh. stocking up on petit coronas for the Winter tho

Maplepie Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Wrong Amigo. We can bring our own sticks. Southern hospitality at this place. Of course we buy cigars as well ah darn... less likely that you would come to Toronto, then damn nanny statists taking away our cigar bars. and pushing us underground... 1
GodofFire Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Cold or raining days I smoke in my garage. This winter I will be taking the backside of my garage and turning it into my little man cave. I will be putting up walls and a TV with a couple leather chairs. Gotta find the chairs first. But it should turn out pretty good.
leftimatic Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Define cold. We get temps just above zero in the winter with the odd drop below. I dress warmly and actually enjoy the freshness. The issue we have is rain. Ah the rain. We've had a real dry spell this summer up island. But it's coming and soon. Was sitting on the deck having a smoke last night and actually had to go put pants on. We saw -18 or 19 last winter but not for long. Mostly hovering just above 0. I have a big rock under a tree, I call it my think rock it is where I go. And if its just plain raining to hard I will put the heat on in the garage. It's a mess in there so I try to avoid it as much as possible. Can't convince anyone to clean it so I ignore it.
Ginseng Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I don't smoke outside during winter anymore. Up until 5 or 6 years ago, I'd bundle up, fingerless gloves, hat and all and tough it out in my garage. I suppose I've gotten softer with age. Wilkey
