1LegLance Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 We are finally below 100F/39C here in Phoenix, Arizona....otherwise known as hells proving grounds And funny thing is there are much hotter parts of the desert southwest but I can't live there as a cigar will just burst into flames when the sun strikes it. Winter is a great time for us as the temps from Oct-April are perfect for desert exploration, ghost towns, mine ruins, trips to the beach in Baja, Mexico. Summer...well I either work as much as possible or get to the mountains.
leftimatic Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Oh that looks cold. I remember my days in Edmonton and up north. Might go back this spring but for now it's 26c and shorts and hanging on the beach. In between stacking wood and getting ready for the inevitable of course. I love Canada!
lostsoulcamero Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Still hot as hell here in so cal I think 90s all week
Rye Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Wow! Just look at the blooms on my FingSnow pansies!! I've never seen FingSnow pansies bloom so full! This has now shattered record summer snowfall in this area.

joeypots Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I love winter. Jackson Hole, Red Mt, Snowmass, Schweitzer...... Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....... I spend all of my money on Cuban cigars and skiing. The rest of it I waste. 1
BehikeLover2 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Love the far view in that picture, rye. Must be a great location!

Maplepie Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Seriously, I'd move, if I lived there. it's not too bad in Toronto. I still dream of getting a lotus one day and it's actually plausible here. there's a sports car dealership beside my house and they had an evora for a few months. i used to daydream of me driving one on my way walking to the bank.

For some bloody reason, there's a Lotus dealer in EDMONTON!!! It's been there forever too! My dad did his apprenticeship there!
Fosgate Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about!!! Sorry we sent it your way man No worries. Just time for the winter hobby and see the scenery not many of us get to enjoy. It's a hobby I've enjoyed since I was little tyke in the 70's. 1
Maplepie Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 For some bloody reason, there's a Lotus dealer in EDMONTON!!! It's been there forever too! My dad did his apprenticeship there! I don't even think we have a dealer here. the bloke i talked to at the store (when the Lotus was there) said it came from the states and changed to our guidelines. he said only 2nd hand ones are seen in Toronto. Wonder what that reason for existence is!

jerryg05495 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Cold and rainy in Vermont. It will be better when it snows, which could be anytime now.
Susanne Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Still in the 80's here in Northeast California... praying for snow (and many meters at a crack); our water table is really low, and our well is having a difficult time keeping our transfer tank filled.... Just glad we had the sense of mind to put IN the transfer tank; our well is down to 12 GPH midday... that's right, Hour, not minute. We have another dry dry winter up here, we're gonna be in for a world of hurt!
