would you buy a Cuban Candela (Double Claro) cigar?

I would go with Maduro - the Candela wrappers I've had have were reliant on the cigar inner leaves to provide taste. Some had acrid/acidic accents.

Back in the Stone Age when I started smoking, candela cigars were still available. I remember them as being very mild with a nice sweetness on the lips, a good morning cigar. Not that I'd trust my memory that far back....

I do know that if they were something special I would miss them, I don't.

If it's one box versus another, I'd pick the non-candela every time. They are a little unique and interesting, but not enough to actually PURCHASE!

I have smoked quite a number of Candelas both recent vintage and way back in the 80's....never have liked them.

Now as a huge fan of Ramon Allones I will pay NOW for a box of 898's in colorado maduro!

I have already answered this question earlier,what I would like to try is A Cuban double maduro! If done right full flavour and body,on something like an 898!
