RijkdeGooier Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I would go with Maduro - the Candela wrappers I've had have were reliant on the cigar inner leaves to provide taste. Some had acrid/acidic accents.
cigaraholic Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Back in the Stone Age when I started smoking, candela cigars were still available. I remember them as being very mild with a nice sweetness on the lips, a good morning cigar. Not that I'd trust my memory that far back.... I do know that if they were something special I would miss them, I don't.
reghax Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I would go maduro, candela doesn't appeal to me.
earthson Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 If it's one box versus another, I'd pick the non-candela every time. They are a little unique and interesting, but not enough to actually PURCHASE!
Murri Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 X4 Same for me, I would try one just to say I have. The colour is a turnoff.
rtrimbath Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I would like to try one, but probably not two. For this reason I would go with the box of Maduro.
TM-US Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I would try a candela, but I wouldn't buy a whole box. I prefer Colorado wrappers.
1LegLance Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I have smoked quite a number of Candelas both recent vintage and way back in the 80's....never have liked them. Now as a huge fan of Ramon Allones I will pay NOW for a box of 898's in colorado maduro! Can we preorder, please please
BehikeLover2 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Neither one. I like the golden brown colorado wrappers.
mikek Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I have already answered this question earlier, what I would like to try is A Cuban double maduro! If done right full flavour and body,on something like an 898!
tmac77 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 II would definitely go with the Colorado Maduro Wrapper.
