My favorite cigars all seem to be popular cigars. The greatest hits, if you will. I think of myself of a fairly adventurous person, but a list of my favorite cigars would not lead one to believe so. I'll list my favorites below. Please let me know what you think I might enjoy, and I'll give a few a shot. I'm headed to Aruba on Sunday, so I should have plenty of time to smoke more than a couple cigars. If you want to stay up to date on my progress, check out my blog (scroll down on it, I just harvested the first of my tobacco crop), www.bonvivantva.com or on twitter @@bonvivantva. Thanks in advance for my suggestions.

Hoyo Epicure #2 (second favorite, most smoked)
Monte #2 and #4
Behike (all sizes)
Partagas SD#4
H.Upmann Mag 46
RA SS (haven't had an amazing one in a while though)
Trinidad Robusto T (current favorite)

I've been dying to try a Trinidad fundadores, but I haven't been able to find any. I had a Boli Royal Corona the other day that I enjoyed, but I wouldn't say its my cup of tea. I doubt I'll be able to find much vintage stock in Aruba, so sticks that smoke good now would be ideal. Thanks again!

I'd definitely try upmann connie 1's and juan lopez nr 2. Both are very consistent for me and I feel you will love them based on the cigars you mentioned. Maybe throw the monte especiales nr1 into the mix, a cigar which elevates the montecristo brand to a new level.

I guess I'm fairly slow on the uptake, so I'm not sure I understand your question. If you know what you like, why not go with those? If you are truly adventurous, perhaps try something outside of your norm? Personally, I feel Cuban cigars have a lot more in common than they do vast differences......

So, try some Bolivar - CJ, PC, CG........

It should be a joy - enjoy your cigars.......

Thats the purpose: outside the norm, but based on what I like. I think the long and thin suggestion was the best general suggestion. Its definitely lacking in my usual suspects.

Lol.

Don't worry maplepie, my return to the forum will have its own dedicated thread! That's how busy I've been this year! Lol

Just a quick list of what I've been up to in the last eight months:

Bought and moved in to new house

Got engaged

Found out I'm going to be a dad

Got a promotion

Made plans to build own home brewery

Get my own cigar shed out the back

Don't worry the big lad is still on form!

Been the busiest year of my life, hopefully things returning to stability/normality soon.

Thanks mate

It may be useful to drill down as to why you like this particular cigars:

Your normal rotation has some crackers in there:

Epi 2, RASS and psd4 are some of the best robustos available, but when you assess strenghth and flavour they are all quite different.

So what do you like in a psd4 that you may find some variance on with another stick - that's where the good members of this forum can help.

For the record I have been on a total partagas bing for the last two months.... I'm just buying everything. That's how good the marca is!!!!!

I think Trini Reyes and Montie 4 should be on the list. More power in the profile.
