Oh, you guys are talking recent production? Here's what a real $25,000 box looks like! Maplepie and I were lucky enough to have a look through in the dungeons of JJ Fox. Many thanks to Andy for lin

Proving - once again - Mr Clinton has no taste.

The writer who filed this brilliant piece of journalism needs to be removed from his post and the network that is promoting this.... oh wait, it's fox news....

This was proved to be BS

As for the Ghurkas I have a question

If only "the best and most exotic tobaccos from around the world" are used in this stick, why do they need to flavor it with Cognac?

I'd like to see where it's been proven BS? I realize that the price of the cigar included an all-expenses private jet trip to Nicaragua and pick up another 1000 cigars rolled to his taste. So, with 'dollar-cost averaging', excluding the jet trip, it was only a $66 dollar cigar.

Kind of like the Gurkha $600 Beauty I can buy right now for $4.00!

@Stanislaw has it correct. None of it is believable... the mere fact Hilary Clinton is mentioned in the article shows its true intentions....who in their right mind spends $600 on a cigar that's not a pre-embargo CC. Ridiculous..."Exotic tobaccos"...".fermented in Louis XIII cognac" laughable. More like they give you a bottle of Louis XIII cognac with each cigar.

hell, i'd do that. probably will save me half the price!

anyway, what they allegedly do is influse a whole bottle of Louis XIII in the 20 cigars

Most expensive cigars my ass!!! How about original release Behike?!?! Or some rare pre-embargo. I'm sure any plain old CC robusto would be better than the HMR.

On most Fridays we like to ferment our cigars in red wine. Admittedly the fermentation process is after the cigar has been rolled and while it is being smoked.

Works for us.

Isn't it more likely you ferment yourself in red wine, whilst smoking a cigar?

It's an interesting thing about marketing, simply making something the most expensive of its kind gives it instant appeal. Quality, value, or accessibilty doesn't have to come into it.

People who want it feel (or are made to feel) they "deserve" it usually just before they can really afford it.

There are cigars that sell for more than that now but not when they were first released (the original Behike for example, "only" about $400 when new).

Jerocco, nice picture of that box! That is a cigar I'd like to try.

Ghurka ? I wouldn"t pay 5 cents for one . The Rolls - Royce of cigars ? What cigar, ? It sure ain't Ghurka. It's not their fault If they

have the palate of a billy goat. It has nothing to do with a REAL cigar. A. Robaina said one day ,"I've met a lot of people from

all over the world, I also met a lot of poor people so poor that all they had was money". He said It all.

Who would question the impartiality of an article that disparages Bill Clinton on a Fox News Politics web page?

Now, if they went after him for signing the repeal of Glass Stiegle.......

I always thought a great boat name would be: Monica's Cohiba

Haha. Maybe Habanos can name the 6x60 (we know it's coming) the Cohiba Monicas LE 2016.

Well, he doesn't have the quality to keep customers, so I guess he depends on hype and marginal truth to sell cigars...........

What a waste of Louis Xll............

First let me say I have never smoked A gurka that I would buy! Second I just cant imagine somebody takeing high quality tobacco and trying to make it taste like somethig else!

When will these people learn, when it comes to cigars, price does not equate to quality. I'm am not impressed by these high priced sticks, I'll take a $5 minuto over these any day.

Unfortunately, it would be true.

When talking about those things, you need say ones that are reproducable today.

The way that Gurkha infuses the cigars with Louis XIII cognac is that they drink the cognac, throw 25 cigars in a bucket, and then take a wiz in the bucket all over the cigars.I'm sure that's exactly what they taste like.

Reminds me of a movie.

I hope some day we find out that cigar is made the same way.

Hmm can somebody explain to as I am a non-native English. What's the difference between a Gurkha and a gherkin?

One tastes quite nice, the other is a waste of good tobacco that could have gone into a pack of Marlboro Golds.
