Epi 2's. I like both, but if it was just one box, go with Epi 2's.

Just a thought but if you are new to trying this marca, have you considered purchasing 5 singles of each and maybe add 5 Epi #1' and des Dieux?

If you've got your heart set on a box of one cigar I would suggest Epi 2's if you're a robusto guy or Epi 1's if corona gordas is more your thing.

But if you're new to the marca I think 5 lots of 5 would give you a better example of HdM. Say Epi 2, petit robusto, des Dieux, Epi 1 or especial and some DC's

I concur on buying the epi 2's, hard to go wrong there. If you're a hard core corona Gorda guy, then maybe the 1's, but in my experience they need more aging time than the 2's.

Personally i'd grab the especials but you can't go wrong with either.

Completely dependent on your personal taste.

If you are unsure you shouldn't buy a box.

Take the advice given earlier - grab a fiver of all the Epic sizes Epi 1, Epi 2, Epi Esp, maybe including the Petit Robusto

Then determine what box you want.

Second on trying the Petite Robustos. They've been uniformly excellent over past year in my experience. Short smoke (not my favorite format - but good when you don't have much time) but just a terrific example of the flavors from good HdMs.

Same as has been said before, go with samplers of multiple vitolas. Then buy a box of the ones you enjoyed the most.

Personaly I'd buy A fiver of each also the Hoyo Epi.#1

I Like the epicure especials! Creamy with age, with characteristic hoyo flavours.... I know that's nondescript but i like them. The no 2s I'm luke warm on. For some reason i just can't get into them as much. But as with all cigars its personal preference.

Do a fiver of each.. But if you don't, EE all the way.

The sweet, creamy cedar of the Petit Robustos has been beautiful. My only grip is that the entire cab feels slightly underfilled and a little spongy. They've needed a small punch and a careful draw to get the most from them. Have you found the same?

Of the two you mention I would go with the Epicure Especial, but I think the Epicure No. 1 is better than both of them :)
