I've never smoked a Cohiba Esplendidos or a Cohiba Coronas Especiales because I think too much for one box. I buy by boxes so I believe its too much of a gamble. So, if they were cheaper I would buy those two cigars.

For me it's anything sold in Canada!

cigars.

Anything Cohiba really, unless I win the lottery or something, at the moment it makes more fiscal sense to buy cheaper sticks that are better bang for the buck.

Oh man, a few come to mind straight away.

Lusitanias — Absolutely no-brainer, as anyone who has smoked one knows. Also, I'm a Partagas fan, big time. Luckily, they come in 10's, so I can still smoke them. But man it would be nice to be able to buy a whole box of 25.

Partagas 8-9-8 — Basically the same thing as above. But again, they come in 10's, so yay. Plus, I love a Lonsdale.

Cohiba Lancero — Easily the best cigar I've ever smoked was a 2008 CoLa, not even a contest—and it was a gift. To this day it is still the only Cohiba I've ever smoked, and the reason for that is the price, plain and simple. Thinking about buying a box of them when I finish my grad school program, though at this rate I might be 40 by then, and I shudder to think what they will cost by then. :D

There are others, such as any and all DC's. Quite a few of those that I haven't tried (but would like to), like Hoyo and Punch. Luckily I don't go for Monte's too much, so none of the usual suspects there. Still never had a 520 or an A. Would love to try the Connie A though.

Anything Cohiba for me. There is no doubt I love them. But man, their mark up kills me some times.

My favorites that I would buy every month if they were cheaper (I'm sure many would agree):

CoRo

Behike 52

Behike 54

Lanceros

VI

IV

My dream is to have the entire Siglo line and Behike line stocked at the same time in my humidor. One can only dream....

I love esplendidos and would have more if they weren't so much.

My 09s are smoking fabulous, we passed one around and 2 of the guys said it was the best they've had in a decade.

BHK54 for me. Not the best cigar I've ever had but it's damned good and consistently good. The smoking experience is spot on every time.

Second is the Trinidad Robusto T. They just hit me right. Not everyone's cup of tea but definitely one of my favorites. I would smoke them daily if I could.

As others have said the EL's, RE's, GE's and all that other special release crap really has me pissed off.

I am huge fan of Ramon Allones & SLR but with the cost of the special ones there is too much pressure for the stick to be amazing.

Honestly I am pretty cheap and smoke a lot of the Jose Peidras, Minutos, PC and smaller sticks since I go through 7-10 sticks a week.

It is hard for me to justify anything over $10 a stick when that means I could have enjoyed 2 sticks at $5 ea.

I would go for up to 20% more for something special but that has rarely been the case, usually it is much much more.

100% on board with the Punch S.D.O E.L. 2013. What a cigar! I bought a box earlier this year and they are amazing...but pricey!

Gentleman, you may smoke

Curious - why do you say that on the Deliciosos? Are you talking orig release retail pricing, or the aftermarket / resale pricing?

Well, that's what I want to find out from him.

And, $2k USD is high for those. They're about $1500-$1600.
