groundhog Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Based on that: -Quesada Espana -Tatuaje black corona gorda -Headley Grange -Hererra Esteli -My Father -illusione MK I'm sure there are others, but these are ones I've tried that are in a similar vein. That being said, since you're looking for something different that Cubans, you could go all the way to the other end of the spectrum and go completely different with a number of maduros: Liga Privada 9, Tatuaje Regios Reserva, Las Calaveras, etc. I personally would go the Maduro route, but it's a risk since you've never smoked one. What are maduros like?I haven't smoked much at all yet, so am open to anything really!

groundhog Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 For me, maduro = sweet Oooh - sweet is good! ( I think?)
groundhog Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Wow - Thanks to all for the responses! I now have a list of more than 40 sticks to go at! Should keep me entertained while I'm not able to smoke - spreadsheet here I come
mncz Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I must second the Ashton VSG. Was surprised when DM didn't mention it in his first post. It has been one of the most impressive non-CC sticks that I've experienced. For its price point, I haven't found any better, and I've tried at least one of the best from almost every marca mentioned above.
LordAnubis Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 And that is the exact problem i find with non cubans. There are millions out there. In the end i jsut get confused and call up Rob and order a box of BPC. 1

Drexl2000 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Maduro is the spanish word for burnproof Anyway IMO Corona Cigars is a better visit than Ybor City alltogether... Best NC's for me is: Illusione Oliva V-series Fuente Hemmingways
perkinke Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Viajes are also very good, but hard to find and can be pricy. One of my favorite small brands is Curivari, and I think they are based in florida. Relatively inexpensive but quality.
SCgarman Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 In Downtown Disney, stop in the Sosa Cigar store which is located among the many stores on the strip there. When I was there last August they had custom rolled Dominican cigars that were rolled on premises and they were very nice for the price. The corona sized were just 4 dollars each and I enjoyed them and brought some back home. Try some of these if you can. 1
