jazzboypro Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Hello all, As of lately i've been looking into vodka, i just bought a bottle of Chopin Vodka, it is made in Polland and it is a potato based vodka. The reviews are pretty good but i have not tasted it myself yet. Does any of drink that vodka and what do you think about it ? Thanks
DoubleDD Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Whatever you do, stay away from Ciroc. I had a martini made with that after a recommendation and it was the worst vodka I've tasted.
jazzboypro Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Thanks for the tip, i've heard good things about Armadale also but i can't find any around here
... Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I enjoy Chopin for its very refined taste (distilled 4x). Good chilled while eating sushi or smoked salmon... I suggest you try it pure to make your own mind about it.
dangolf18 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Best I've had is Beluga Gold Line. Chopin is solid. I usually drink Finlandia, Ketel, or Monopolowa. Least favorites are Grey Goose and stoli....overrated mediocre vodka.

... Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Either from the fridge or room temp, I'd pour an ounce in a tulip or tasting glass and drink in a few sips, letting roll in the mouth to get a feel of it. I should give you a good idea of how you feel about it...
jazzboypro Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 It's been in the freezer for the past 24 hours, i think i'll give it a go later on tonight !
ArtemusGordon Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Chopin is the best vodka I have had personally!
jazzboypro Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 I just got it out of the freezer and tasting in a martini glass. It's excellent.

jazzboypro Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Glad you enjoy the Chopin. I have enjoyed it with a grapefruit peel. I'm gonna have to try that !!!
TypicalSituation Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I like Chopin, but I'm a huge fan of Tito's. Super tasty and the price is right.
airtrade Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Very nice vodka, almost seems like you can taste the potatoes. Smooth and distinctive.
jazzboypro Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 I've had a few glasses so far and i'm quite pleased with it, i think i will try to make a vodka martini and see how it goes.
saintsmokealot Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I like a few including Chopin but Ketel 1 is my go to Vodka
Perla Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 During my study I came in touch with Chopin vodka. Here the story: Found a new affordable housing to life and has to settle some things with my landlord. My landlord was in the mid 80-ties, an old merchant and he never missed a trick. But he was pretty fair and gallant. So the contract was not in paper form and it was the good old handshake between two and at least we sealed it with a lot of Chopin Vodka. It was a hell of an evening with him. I never drank Chopin again, but the story is connected to it.
malba2366 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I enjoy Chopin vodka, but my goto vodka recently has been Tito's
MrGTO Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 If you can ever get ahold of some Russian made vodka I would recommend it. I have a bottle of Parliament vodka that is wonderful
