ayepatz Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Been trying out some more aged cigars, and wondered if anyone had done vertical tastings comparing various years of the same cigar? El Pres - might be a nice idea for a video review experiment with you and Ken. He is somewhat of a dab hand at vertical tasting, after all.
bradbrennan Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Rob and Ken seem to have a pretty good memory when doing their reviews as they usually discuss aged vs.young, I've thought about buying some aged ones myself as I found a couple sites that seem to have them affordble but don't know if I can trust em
Rye Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I plan on doing one this summer with Monte Espi's from '86, '96, and '06 and I'll do my best to take notes and review each one. I have a feeling it will be a long and delicious day 2
Habana Mike Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I've done a few horizontals, same Marca different vitolas. Interesting to note the blend differences across sizes. May have to do a Sir Winston vertical '04, '06, '08, '09, '13 if I can find 10 hours or so - Father's Day? 1
