What about other cigars from the same box?

First one out of a historic box that took a year and a half to arrive.

That looks ugly but glad you still enjoyed it. Did it have any small cracks along the body? I notice this happens a lot when theres a tear in the body. Best thing to do is push the band up and support it so it doesn't burst open.

Why so long?

Sometimes boxes go missing for months and then miraculously/mysteriously appear.

There are theories but I'm not sure anyone really know for sure......well maybe someone innocent.gif

18 months in transit may have something to do with the behavior of that particular cigar Guano.

Yes, they wandered or languished somewhere. My favorite theory is they were in a truck that was beamed to the mother ship like Close Encounters and did not age while travelling at light speed. I will be delighted if the other nine smoke as well as this one.

Pictures of trophy cigars grace the forum every day. But where are the images of smoking catastrophes?

I sparked up a Lusitania this afternoon that completely exploded. As I pondered the irony of a cigar named for a maritime disaster, I decided to post a shot of the event and share it with the forum.

I also thought of asking Rob for a refund but I enjoyed smoking this wreck to the wrapper and have nothing to complain about.

I've sampled a few of my long lost cigars from that same period. They look fine with good sheen. However, all 4 that I've tried have been fairly flat. I pushed hem to the back of the humidor hoping time will heal all wounds.

How have your sticks from that shipment been smoking? Any others than the lusi?

It's clear to me that you must have forgotten to activate the safety and remove the chambered round before lighting it.

That sir is a 'Labrador', apologies to Cheech and Chong. In so far as something you would find on the grass around your home if you owned said dog.

Not as dramatic as Dr G's Lusi, but this Monte 520 yesterday was a disaster. Underfilled down one side, Kevlar coated wrapper etc etc
