mgravito Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I'm hoping this provides me with some level of catharsis to ease my pain: The Canadiens were the better team and deserved to win that series. There I said it. 1
Erm310mce Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Unfortunately, Marchand was up to his old tricks and was a non factor. Much like you, I can't stand the Bruins or their style if play. I do however acknowledge that they're a relentless and superbly coached team. No lead is safe against them. I suspect Krejci is injured but Marchand just played stupid and took needless penalties. I'm worried for Julien's job after this loss. He's a good coach and shouldn't bear the brunt of this loss. One of our teams had to lose the series and it was fun going back and forth with the Bruin fans. All in good fun and hopefully one day we can have a cigar together! We did have some fun back and forth. And of course we can't stand the other team, that's what makes it so much fun!! I think Julian is fine, he is well respected. Cheers, we will have a cigar one day and laugh.
MadMax Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 The Big Bad regular season champs Fall! I LOVE IT!!! Somebody get OGUS a crying towel!! 1
tmac77 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Nice win for the Habs. So glad that skill and speed won out over the brutish classless Bruins. 2

ptrthgr8 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Nice win for the Habs. So glad that skill and speed won out over the brutish classless Bruins. Hmm... something about people living in glass houses and throwing stones comes to mind. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

As if the Habs are the classiest team in the league. Floppers. As bad as Vancouver. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
Marker Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think the crossbar had more saves than the rest of the habs team. 1
tmac77 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think the crossbar had more saves than the rest of the habs team. A Goaltenders best friend. But still simply a missed shot. Does not count as a shot on goal.

It is funny how fan support can make you blind to what really happens in a game, happens in Boston too. I cannot for the life of me understand why Hab fans think their team is the classiest most skilled team in the league? Do you guys agree with flopping and trying to draw penalties? Is this good for hockey? You do agree that flopping is a major part of Habs hockey? Do you believe in trash talking to try to get the opponent to drop gloves and then you skate away? Is Subban or someone else on the team a Lady Byng candidate? What actually makes them the most skilled hockey club in the league? Bruins have won 7 of the last 12 series against the Habs, but the Habs are still the best, fastest and most classy team in the league? The bruins have their issues, I don't agree with Marchand, Lucic trying to fight in the handshake line, Thornton squirting water. But Markov can spear Chara in the Nads and we don't speak of it, we just understand this element of "class" that Montreal has above everyone else. Would love a Habs fan to enlighten a Bruins fan. maybe I have Bruins blinders on. Lol! 1
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think we can all agree that since the Rangers have jettisoned Tortorella, Sean Avery, Brandon Prust, Colton Orr, and the only real goon-type they added was Daniel Carcillo, they are now a nicer, more sportsmanlike team to watch than either the sneaky Habs or the rough-house Bruins, and thus deserve the support of all fans whose teams are no longer playing Could be worse, the Pens could have beaten the Rangers, moved on, and we could be bombarded by more stupid "Why isn't Crosby scoring" crapola that no one friggin' gives a flying leap about!
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I'm a Rangers fan Chris! No doubt! Sweet, welcome aboard, Erm! Plenty of room on this boat! 1
tmac77 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 With the early playoff exit, one thing bruins players might have the chance to be more skilled at is golf. 1
Erm310mce Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 With the early playoff exit, one thing bruins players might have the chance to be more skilled at is golf. Well, I'd rather be better at golf than ballet, but that is just my opinion
BigE514 Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Good thing boston players are good at both, oh and diving they're pretty good at that too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do find it fascinating that Hab fans never comment about their own flopping or dirt play, they always turn it around on other teams flopping. At least we admit there is no room in the game for that. I was trying to get an understanding of this and if you guys really do deeply believe that the Habs are the classiest team in the league. I guess I know my answer Cheers, good luck against the rangers.
