zathan Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I can get you guys a good deal on smoked bear jerky (putting flamesuit on.) 1
Briand Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think the Habs can beat the Rangers but i do worry about them suffering a lack of focas after beating the hated rivals
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 NYR in 5. Habs did well in getting past Boston, but they ain't putting much past Lundqvist. Besides, how can you cheer against Marty St. Louis now?
Armaniac Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Habs in 5. With people like Nash et al underachieving, it's not like the Rangers are lighting up the scoreboard. That, coupled with the best goalie on the planet will prove too much for the Rangers. 1
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 You don't need to win 7-1. 2 Goals is fine if you get the win. Nash may be underachieving, but it's not a one-man team. And you really think Carey Price is the best goalie on the planet? I think every Coach, GM and fan outside of Montreal would take Lundqvist as their goalie over Price in a hot second. They don't call him "King" Carey, do they? Carey's Vezina trophy looks great on the mantle, too. And before you even mention the gold medal, Lundqvist won gold in 2006, and carried them to the Gold medal game in 2014 too. He got beat in Sochi....but Price doesn't exactly have that stacked team in front of him this time. Lundqvist won't be letting much past him, you can guarantee that. He just carried his team past the Penguins and "the best player in the world". Rangers in 5. I'm happy to wager a 5-pack of Partagas E2's on the Rangers winning the series vs. Montreal.
Armaniac Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I'll take your bet!!! Any GM or fan of hockey would take Price over Lundqvist in a heartbeat! Give me a break, 26 years old vs 32. Better regular season stats on a better team. Making fun of Price on your part will make this victory much sweeter. Your team may have beaten the best player in the world but, you forget, we beat the best team in hockey! Habs in 4 maybe 5.
puromaniac Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Gotta love rabid hockey fans willing to put good sticks where their hearts are! I'm a big fan too, but the only bet I'm taking is that there's a good cigar and exciting hockey in my future. 1

This sport has a way of bringing out the kids in grown men
zathan Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I won't make any predictions. I was truly thinking the Bruins would take it in 5, maybe 6 but now that the Habs are passed the best and toughest team in the league, all bets are off. Fleury isn't anywhere near as talented and focused as Pricey. Looking forward for some more of this great game of hockey. 1

You are right about Fleury being not as good as Price as he is pulling his driver out of the golf bag in the next couple of days. I hoping the Habs get by the Rangers.

Since I don't have any on hand, I was planning on buying them from our host here and sending them your way if I lost....probably easiest if you plan to do the same when you lose......I mean IF you lose........No, WHEN you lose. The Price is Wrong. Lundqvist über alle. 1
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Plus........the best team in Hockey is the one that wins the Stanley Cup. Just sayin'.

vitruvius Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Lol, sounds good! I also don't have any on hand but, I will be getting some from you in the mail Enjoy the series! In either case good cigars will be smoked. As for me, I have two boxes of these at the ready for when our Habs win
Armaniac Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 You don't need to win 7-1. 2 Goals is fine if you get the win. Nash may be underachieving, but it's not a one-man team. Wow, how did you choose that number. Should I just send you the cigars from now lol!

ChanceSchmerr Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Wow, how did you choose that number. Should I just send you the cigars from now lol! I'll take em! Too bad Lundy gave up that random goal in the third to make it 7-2 1
ptrthgr8 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 How do you say "choketastic" in French Canadian? Hahahahahaha! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Armaniac Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'll take em! Too bad Lundy gave up that random goal in the third to make it 7-2 I know, you almost hit the nail right on the head. This is not a fair wager! You seem to be able to manipulate (not only predict) the actual score of a game. Impressive lol.
Armaniac Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 How do you say "choketastic" in French Canadian? Hahahahahaha! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk Same as in French 1
