I disagree. The worst was the missed offsides resulting in a goal. Penalties have gray areas. Offsides do not.

Edit: let me expand a little more. During crucial games or crucial times in a game, referees tend to overlook all but flagrant penalties (see game 7 bos vs tb ecf 2011 no penalties at all). Linesman can never overlook an offsides, and that was offsides.

The Offsides Call is hard. I played Hockey when I was younger. That Back Leg would pass the Blue Line just when the Puck Passed the Blue Line. The Front Leg can be pass the Blue Line and not be called a Offisde which happens all the time when the Wings are waiting for the center to cross rather than pass the Puck, Would I call offisides? Yes Do i Think that would be called all the time? No

The Biggest Problem is that back leg should have been on the Ice as the Puck Traveled Across the Line so there shouldn't be any doubt. I'm guessing the Ref just saw the Leg behind him and focused on the Puck

That goof already did that to a Montreal player about a month ago. He should be suspended for chicken plays like that. https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/AA60348B021060275750453841920_13229aede23.3.4.m

Nothing better in hockey than habs vs boston

GO HABS GO!!!!

Any Habs' fans willing to wager a fiver on the next series? Bruins are favourites but Habs are well rested. Should be a great series, even as a Leaf fan I'm looking forward to this one.

I will gladly take you up on the bet but would rather wager a cigar on it instead?

Well earned series victory by Boston. I don't think Detroit really had much of a chance (not sure anyone can beat Boston), but I sure wish Detroit would have had a more healthy and complete roster going into the post season so it would have been a more accurate test. But there's always next season, eh?

So at this point I feel obligated to cheer for Montreal. Which sorta makes me gag a little. But either way I hope the Habs and Bruins beat the crap out of each other for 7 games.

Cheers,

Greg

It's rebuilding time for the sharks. I'd rather them miss the playoffs than to see ANOTHER talented team with promise, choke!

Sorry about the sharks...I hate all LA teams so I was cheering for San Jose. Unfortunately Joe Thornton can't seem to get his act together in the playoffs. Now I get why Boston didn't want to sign him to a big contract.

Wow, the sharks are the finest choking team in history. Joe Thornton went 0 - 0 - 0 and posted a -6 over his last 4 games, in a series where before that, his team was up 3-0.

O_o

You want to rebuild? Do what the Bruins did, get rid of him!

To any sharks fans out there, I wanted to bestow a little bit of knowledge on you from a Bruins fan. When the Bruins blew their three nothing series lead against Philly in 2010, they came back and won the cup in 2011. Just something to think about. The sharks will have a lot to prove next season and will definitely play like it. I predict good things for them next season.

This not the first time the sharks have blown a playoff lead. It's a time for the sharks to move some players.

Two awesome game 7's on back to back nights with both Red, White and Blue visiting teams scoring first and going on to win the games. Will be very interesting match up between the Rangers and the Habs.
