JHands Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Check these out... Went to pivotal game 3 against Vancouver in 11 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Philprop Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Habs fans should soak it all in now, they won't be going any farther in the playoff this year. They just swept a series against a team that was basically an AHL team, that played horrible Defense in letting Montreal have countless odd man rushes and breakaways. Tampas Defense kept pinching and allowed Montreal to use their speed. They basically let Montreal play however they liked. Nothing to be proud of in my opinion. And I'm a huge Tampa Bay fan! Tampa Bay handed Montreal the series. Now Montreal have a long wait to start the next round and they'll be playing one of two teams who are both solid defensively. Going to be a hard transition for the Habs and one I don't think they will be able to handle. 1
marper331 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Marp when was that pic from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That was before the Buffalo game on April 17, 2013. 2 days after the marathon bombing.
Briand Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 What a great first round of the playoffs it's been. I am happy the nhl went back to divisional playoff as we a getting some natural rivalries back. I can't wait til the day habs and leafs meet in the playoffs. ( that of course would mean the laughs would need to make the plays more than ones every 6 years) Oh btw every time I hear upper or lower body injury my skin crawl. I am so sick of that term
JHands Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Let's hope Marchand cashes in his chances today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ptrthgr8 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Let's hope that little weasel Marchand never scores another goal. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
JHands Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Can't believe boston is playing Montreal again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
ptrthgr8 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Well earned series victory by Boston. I don't think Detroit really had much of a chance (not sure anyone can beat Boston), but I sure wish Detroit would have had a more healthy and complete roster going into the post season so it would have been a more accurate test. But there's always next season, eh? So at this point I feel obligated to cheer for Montreal. Which sorta makes me gag a little. But either way I hope the Habs and Bruins beat the crap out of each other for 7 games. Cheers, Greg Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
headstand Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Which sorta makes me gag a little.Greg, I was born to the Habs so cheering for them is natural enough. For a Wings fan I would suggest holding your nose while you swallow. After a bit you won't gag so much... Glad to have you on board even if it is under protest.Alan 1
ptrthgr8 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 LOL! Indeed, good sir! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
JHands Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Bruins will be just as well rested. The rest of the series have to finish up before next one begins. If the bruins keep the physical play and forechecking up, don't see any reason why the can't down the scabs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Hiroshiro Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Man My Avs are getting Lucky. 3-2 lead. One more!
ptrthgr8 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Man My Avs are getting Lucky. 3-2 lead. One more! And I hope you've already sent a gift basket to the refs for tonight's game. That was just plain terrible. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
Philprop Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Any Habs' fans willing to wager a fiver on the next series? Bruins are favourites but Habs are well rested. Should be a great series, even as a Leaf fan I'm looking forward to this one. Hmmm, seeing how it's too late for this year, but I think maybe next year we'll have to do up a little bracket challenge, everyone donates some sticks and whoever picks the closest wins all the sticks. In the meantime...I am now a converted Bruins fan as I would never cheer for the Habs no matter what! 1
Briand Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 It's must be spring! The sharks are having another playoff meltdown. If they loses to the kings there must be major changes in San Jose
JHands Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 It's must be spring! The sharks are having another playoff meltdown. If they loses to the kings there must be major changes in San Jose 3-0 is tough to come back from. Albeit my bruins blew the 3-0 lead in 10. They followed it up with a cup in 11 though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk Agreed! There were several but the no call for the hold/interference on Coyle when he was racing for the puck with the Avs net empty was the worst. 1
JHands Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Agreed! There were several but the no call for the hold/interference on Coyle when he was racing for the puck with the Avs net empty was the worst.I disagree. The worst was the missed offsides resulting in a goal. Penalties have gray areas. Offsides do not.Edit: let me expand a little more. During crucial games or crucial times in a game, referees tend to overlook all but flagrant penalties (see game 7 bos vs tb ecf 2011 no penalties at all). Linesman can never overlook an offsides, and that was offsides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Colorado player is doing nothing to impede the the Minnesota player from going after the puck (empty net for Colorado, BTW). Both hands remain on the stick of the Colorado player throughout that play. Carry on.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiDp_fR23Tk
Briand Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The wild have nothing to ***** about after Cook who is a solid 3 rd line player at best took out of the best offensive d ma in Barrie. I think this series would be done if Barrie was still in the line up.
